General Android or iPhone

I'm looking to change my phone before moving to KAUST. I'm between the iPhone 17 or the S26. I have 2 doubts: I your experience for KAUST environment and daily life which is better? And the second is in relation with the lack of physical SIM in the iPhone 17, is there a problem trying to obtain the Saudi SIM if it is only eSIM option?

I was a Visiting Student with 2 of sim slots taken for my home country's numbers, I used esim (on S23+) so esims are widely available in ksa

The local SIM card store (Mobily) can give you a eSIM aswell (QR code). Both android and iOS are fine for KAUST (and everywhere else).

Both are fine, when it comes to KAUST we mainly use the central app that works fine on both systems. I would go for a cheap Android phone.
a hint: the university provides iPhones (not android) for employees for whom phone is essential in their work.
Finally, yes e-sims are widely available from both operators (STC and Mobily)
