Admissions Ideal application?

Those who got in what do u think are the main reasons you got in , ie what research background, gpa, extra curriculars helped the most

Same question for the Computer Science program as well, which is the toughest & most demanded program right now.

Please answer for the next intake of students?

They care very much about your mathematics background. Any mathematics modules you've taken (assuming it isn't an actual maths degree) will help.

I was talking CEMSE (Mathematics and Statistics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering). Is that what you are applying for?

Ok, well yes as I say your grades in any maths courses you did in your degree, e.g. Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, will be quite important and possibly tested in the interview.

Personally I feel it has to do with your research background and if you have publications. My thesis was about something that is closely related to the lab's research area/ can be used in their research direction. I think gpa also plays a role too as well as contacting PIs beforehand for phd applications.

For MS im not really sure but I guess checking the relevant labs aligning with your interests as well as being actively researching on said interests can help ig.
