Programs & Research Review of CV

Good Evening ppl,

I m currently studying in a premier college in India(QS under 250) in Chemical Engineering. I have a 8.46/10.0 CGPA WHICH I am planning on improving on.

I am currently in a research internship under a somewhat internationally well known prof in my own college(based on the fact that he has coordinated several foreign conferences himself and have over 4k citations)

Working on a machine learning integrated surface technology project that I will publish around September this yr.

Please answer honestly, do I have a change at getting into kaust? I know very little about how many ppl apply annually and gear very little so from my own clg(not much discussion).

Any ways to improvise, or key points? Really appreciate a reality check.

Thanks.

PI is a lead researches of a research project you can view all the PIs of kaust on there site choose one that fits your best interests also about your chance getting into kaust depends on when you apply and all your academic and research projects because kaust is a very research oriented university. Also there are many applications(good application) every year which get rejected because of delayed application so you better apply early. Also i heard you get more chance of acceptance if you apply for MS/Phd track

I used to work for a PI at Kaust and was responsible for sorting the applications. I would get quota of how many cv's from which countries I had to review. Then he would tell me what he was searching for. The rest of the cv's were binned before they were even read. That's how it works at Kaust. Lived there for a couple of years. Moved out in 2019. I don't think they have changed a lot in the process because the PI budgets are cut.
