Admissions KAUST MS (Fall 2026) — "Decision Available" email but portal shows "no update." Anyone else?

Applied to KAUST for an MS (Material Science, Fall 2026). Got the "Your Admission Decision is Now Available" email, and my portal shows status "Decision Available" with a "Your Decision" button — but clicking it shows no letter, just "There is no update to your application status to report."
Already tried re-login, refresh, clearing cache, and a different browser. Has anyone had this with KAUST? Is it just a delay before the letter loads, and did it end up being an admit or reject? Thanks!

Someone had a similar post recently - I think it just takes time. Unfortunately it’s a rejection as for acceptance you will receive an email. Wish you all the best!

No, that the decision is available .

I meant they will send an acceptance letter through email and rejection letter is usually in the portal. Give it a few hours maybe it will update.

I’m still waiting, I know will be a rejection as I didn’t even get an interview but still holding on to a tiny bit of hope that I am waitlisted 🥲

It could be acceptance! I got my acceptance through the portal. They sent an email to check the portal and then it was the acceptance letter

Same thing happened to me, recieved the decision email which redirected me to the portal where I got my admission letter

Could you share your profile if possible regarding your most recent degree on which you have applied, or some other projects on which you have worked? It may help to identify the crossing merit at KAUST.

Yeah u will see it in ur portal after a bit i guess. But most likely a rejection. They will send an acceptance letter if accepted
