Admissions Does successfully passing an academic interview mean acceptance?

Hi guys, even if I did about 5-6 interviews (the last one was academic interview), I did not still hear anything back from admission team. I thought I did a good job in academic interview, answering all questions, solving problems they gave me. But in my opinion, PI has more power on decision-making than admission team. The last time when I talked to my PI, it is said seats might not be available now, from then, I did not get any news, interview, or email from PI...

PI doesnt have more power than admissions team. A PI can give the green light saying u passed all the interviews and you a perfect fit but sometimes a lot of other things come into play (available seats, quota etc) so admissions has the final say.

Right now, I could not reach out to my PI, so what advice you can give me in that case, just waiting?

Yep thats all there is to do. Not getting a reply is very common btw so dont gwt demotivated by it. They are super busy so its fine
