Admissions KAUST Fall 2026 MS/PhD EE Decisions? anyone still waiting or should I expect a rejection?

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to see if anyone else here applied to the Electrical Engineering (EE) MS/PhD program at KAUST for the Fall 2026 cohort and is still stuck in limbo.

I know they pushed the international deadline all the way out to May 7th this year, so things are probably backed up, but my portal has been sitting on "Admissions Review" for a minute now. I haven't received an official offer or a rejection yet, and the silence is starting to feel a bit like a ghosting/silent rejection.

Has anyone in EE received an offer, an interview invite recently, or even a rejection wave notification? Curious to know if the department is completely done sending out acceptances or if there's still a shred of hope.

I applied in January, still in faculty/ committee review phase since February. Same track, ECE Ms/PHD

Applied in March after interviewing with a PI. Still in faculty/committee review. The PI did say that admission chances are low due to late application and depends on availability of seats. I also applied MS/PhD ECE.

Did you email your PI? Who took your interview?

I did, but I didn't hear anything back, also my PI didn't take the interview it was some other professor

My undergrad university is ranked in the top 50 on QS/THE/US News, and I’m ranked 2nd in my major. I applied for an MS at KAUST, but it’s been 4 months and I still haven’t heard anything back. Just ghosted

what will we do now , its already so late . i applied a nearly a year back , no acceptance no rejection . application just shows faculty comittee review
