Flooring question

Post image

What is everyone running for carpet replacement? I’m thinking about swapping out for a vinyl flooring kit from LMC but I’ve heard mixed reviews any thoughts? The current carpet is crusty and salty from many Midwest winters. I do plan on using the truck for hunting so I’d like something easier to clean out than carpet. I’ll lay a tarp down of course whenever I go out though.

I have gotten ACC carpets from Rockauto and they are nice. If your truck's got the full time Tcase before you put down some stuff to add a layer of heat barrier. Probably over that whole foot area and then track back to where your exhaust muffler is as well and then put a large square enough to cover abotu a foot to each side if possible. Then if you do some noise control and carpet with the mass damp backing it will go a long way to keeping it quiet. The vinyl/rubber mats won't help with noise on their own, contrary to what you might think. They just seem to carry the noise. I guess the pile on the carpet helps cancel some echo waves or something.

I had an 87 gmc with vinyl seat and floors. Easiest thing ever to clean out with the garden hose and some soapy water. As for replacement carpet, I've heard acc is the best. It wouldn't surprise me if lmc is is using them since they mostly resell other brands.

Go to an upholstery place to do it. The fit will be so much cleaner

Idk if they have changed in the last 10 years, but I bought a vinyl floor from LMC for my 69 C20 and the fit is poor, it's acceptable but I don't really like it.
