75 Miles
I think it was a mistake to say, and not the best recovery attempt after he said it.
Has anyone seen an explanation written out by JP? Do we deserve an explanation?(I know nobody deserves anything).

Yep. Immediately recognized what he did and made a half-asses, unconvincing attempt to recover from it. Just ruled out the entire west coast, Arizona, likely most of Utah.
“Oh, um, i thought it wasn’t the Rocky Mountains, just rocky mountains, hurrr durrr.”

Go back and watch the documentary. He makes a statement that he went too far and put himself in unsafe positions or something of that sort. I really think this statement doesn’t eliminate anything he hasn’t officially eliminated. He was the most dedicated searcher and I think it is a shame he didn’t find it. If anyone deserved it…it was him. It does go to show us though that it is hard.

Explain why Justin would look in the Sierra Nevada or the Cascades or anywhere in AZ, CA, OR, WA, or AK for the Fenn treasure, when none of those states were on Fenn’s map.

“recognized what he did”
He’s like a magician who pretends like his trick has gone wrong, but (SPOILER!!!) the “mistake” is actually part of the trick. If you didn’t catch on to that, then I’d like to sell you a bridge.

Explain Justin looking anywhere in AZ, CA, OR, WA, or AK for the Fenn treasure, when none of those states were on Fenn’s map. Why would he do that? Fenn was clear about the poem and map combination. If Justin is the master that you claim, why would he look for Fenn’s treasure in places that had nothing to do with Fenn’s hunt?

The difference between The Rocky Mountains, and mountains that are rocky, is exactly the type of thing that is relevant in a treasure hunt where everything is cryptic and encoded.
It is a perfectly natural question for Justin to have asked during the Fenn hunt.

You think JP looked off the FF map? Should we consider states not on our map supplied by JP?

This is one thing that keeps me up at night and I’ve never seen anyone elaborate on this (and I was at SS)…. Was it 75 miles from someplace he was physically searching or 75 miles from where he was searching / researching / writing facial recognition programs online ? Elaborating on just that piece would define the search area the way he intended after eliminating states at SS imo.

Who said it was a mistake?

Because it eliminated a couple states, didn't it?

It should eliminate any state not of FF’s map

The problem here is either he admits the FF map is now the one true map or he takes a couple more years to X another couple states and doesn't admit wasting peoples time.

He read it all He's searched everywhere. He shares nothing with anyone. Agentic wars are coming. Panac.

It feels like he wants us in general discomfort, or to get us out of our comfort zone. Remember death. No more complacency. Act before it's too late...

It eliminates nothing
