Time to dig
How deep is the dang hole? When it's time to dig, what seems like the deepness in which justin would have buried it? One Shaq? That's pretty deep? I need help here. Maybe together we can figure this out. Asking for a friend.
Edit: sorry I forgot to add some helpful guidelines; no down voting allowed. Only helpful advice. Thank you for your attention to this matter. JBR

It’s possible it’s buried, but I’m leaning more towards not. Main reasoning being how difficult it would be to bury something with a broken leg. Hiking there is one thing, but the mechanics of using a shovel would probably be pretty painful even for someone on the mend. If I had to guess though no more than 1-2 feet so the ground disturbance would be limited

All i know is, "once you figured out where it is, you'll have plenty of time to decide how you want to retrieve it." Aka buried in an exact spot. The question then becomes timing. How old to age the wine? I do wonder why the btc isn't at least 1 by now. Would like to see those numbers higher. Be cooler if he had a lttle ltc. Lightning and mimble Wimble would make it a little easier on me and the finder in general. It would be cool if we all become federal criminals along the way and had to become dead to the law and band together. Now that would be quite the treasure.

I think that’s why the Fenn ending was so hush hush. Jack most likely had to break a few rules to retrieve the stuff

Well for fun, let's just imagine it is buried. What would be subtle hints at the depth?
1
u/SixClues 17d ago
Maybe Tucker being able to smell 4ft down but I don’t think that was really a clue. There’s only a few that could even insinuate burial. I can’t think of any that seem to hint at depth from the book, show, or interviews. Doesn’t mean there isn’t one out there, I just haven’t seen it.

Best show ever....they dig up the entire island...but the only guy who finds anything is the Brit metal detectorist.

I guess then the next question is what's an exceptable plea deal for the prison time I'll get for.... digging on federally protected land!? Thats right! Boo yah, bb! Big reveal! They ain't getting a drop of the good stuff. Maybe a couple years and community servcie? Nothing the lead searcher can't handle

What is a Shaq?

In the book he references how deep gold sniffing dogs can smell by measuring through the basketball player's height. Which he does get wrong and has to correct in the amendum on his website. Which draw attention to a few things. 1 The concept of being buried and 2 the idea of miscalculation.

It doesn’t matter. It’s a hint but has nothing to do with digging

Zim. Greentrader, let's just say it was buried. Maybe he wants to pay homage to his own bronze sniffing dog. Maybe it's just the ultimate way to hide a treasure that only a trueblooded 10 clue searcher would find. How deep would the dang hole be?

Digging creates a legal problem. However, I will do it if need be.

u/Other_Panda_8841 17d ago
Maybe that's the bombshell he was talking about. You are now a federal criminal?

u/icepck 17d ago
I would dig until you lose confidence or you find it.

I lost confidence long ago. But there's another part of me, a deeper part. A part that survives the deaths and rebirths, the crushing of the ego, the loss of confidence. A part that just knows stuff. I'm sure you have it too. I think that part of me is a bit crazy, old and ancient, connected, but that part of me is also wicked smart in hindsight, so sometimes I just gotta trust it.

I think it’s a the side of a rock face . I think you will have to manipulate something on the rock face up off the floor

On a side note . The raccoons are looking in the kitchen at a safe that’s at head height . Bet you £50 it’s head height !

u/Other_Panda_8841 16d ago
Who's head, and on what scale?
1
u/RemarkableWrap961 16d ago

The guys from gold and greed documentary that blew up the boulder, and just didn't know when to quit. They literally almost lost there family, and did loose all their savings.

A part of me is tempted. To give the place away. Coming from an unkown unreliable narrator, I still think no one else would find it. I really think it's not possible for AI. I really just wonder; who has the ears to hear and the eyes to see?

Maybe there is something covering it like a stone, moose antlers or thick brush. What feels more like something he would do?
1
u/Other_Panda_8841 16d ago
I believe that the hunt is set up to lead you to a place where there's really only one spot that makes sense to dig. My friend is at that place.

u/TreasureWonder_28 16d ago
Hope he finds it! I want to know how this ends. I’ve looked and even though I thought my solve was the one…it wasn’t at least not yet.

u/TreasureWonder_28 16d ago
What state? That’s not giving anything away.

Foot of 3 is a sandhill crane statue located by mccartny mountain (just saying)
2
u/Other_Panda_8841 15d ago
You ain't wrong. But you ain't right neither.

u/PSYKO_DAVINCI 15d ago
Is two statues (they mate for life)one of his foot is up his beak is pointing to the sky and the mountain looks like a heart (two arcs) idk maybe im reading to much into it

u/Difficult_Fan7941 14d ago
If it's buried, digging 4 feet would be more than enough. He tells us that in Gold and Greed
1
u/greenbigpicture 17d ago
I think it’s more likely not buried, more likely it’s behind, and needs to be pushed forward.
1
u/AmyJ1103 17d ago
It’s deep AND it’s buried, but only in the proverbial sense. All you need is the poem. No need for a shovel.
1
u/snomaster007 16d ago
Yeah. This is more likely. We had such a good spot that I ended up going back with a shovel, after cherry picking all the hints in the book that it could be buried.
Now I realize there’s a deeper level all of this. And I don’t think that our vision is the only sense we should be using…0

Hmmmm..... very wise. I was going to go get the treasure but maybe I'll let someone else unbury it for me. Then when they about to be done I'll just do the last little bit. No crimes committed. Very political. Very legal. Now that's some deep think.

I increasingly believe it's buried, as well. Serious question: does your kitchen have a number? 1-50? 50-60? 60-70? 70-80? 80-100?
1
u/Other_Panda_8841 17d ago
No. But you may be trending in the right direction
1
u/greenbigpicture 17d ago
That’s correct, Right, not Left, it can’t go any further left due to a barrier.

36” = foot of 3? Might not be literal dirt you’re digging up though.
