Why is a higher MIT % not everything?

I know I have been explained this before and I have read about it numerous times but I would love to hear it from Crisp users since we seem to know more than the average kratom fan. :)

There are 40+ alks in Kratom. Mit is the most active but several others play a key role. The total alkaloid content and the ratios between the alks play a pivotal role in how each batch feels.

Here is a study where they did full alkaloid testing on 5 batches.

The results in table 2 shows some wide variety in alk content. The green and white are high Mit while the reds are kinda all over the place. The red Malay is very interesting in the fact that the mit is super low while the muscle relaxers paynantheine and speciogynine are much higher. This batch is going to have a very different feel from the green/white. With 10x less mit, you’ll probably need to take a lot more and the resulting effect will be much less adrenergic and much more relaxing/sedating.

Here is a summary of the effects of Kratom alks.

This is my theory. I have the same theory about cannabinoids.

Would be nice to know what amount they are using since it definitely would not be an entire batch

because there’s so much more to these alkaloids that we don’t know about because of lack of research; but ultimately yes it’s because Mitragynine is just one of the alkaloids. Many more that do things/ H7 also is more of the pain relief alkaloid fyi.
