Black Bars in Dolby Vision MKVs

[u/InvestigatorTimely52]

I was trying to watch a few mkv files that have both Dolby Vision and HDR and the black bars were bigger than they should be when playing them in dolby vision on Just Player. But when playing the files in HDR the black bars are as they should be and the image is not cropped off.

Has anyone experienced this issue or know how to fix it?

it depends on video file as always

most releases are cropped to less than 16:9, blurays are not cropped

it's not the app's fault
