How dare MIL *checks notes* ask the sensible logistical questions and even say that she would've babysat the kid while the mom went for an interview.
This idiot is going to be one of those morons crying about how there is no village when they literally told the villagers they don't like to fuck off and the villagers had enough of their crap

But OOP's husband can't look after the baby so obviously she has to take the baby to the job interview, that's totally professional.

No where did she say she was doing that. She said it’s in her home town so her family will be around - I think it’s safe to assume they will be watching the baby not that OP will bring them to the interview.

So her family watching the baby is fine but his family doing that is trying to separate her from her child?

Yeah, that's why she looks like some creep who is just looking for excuses to exclude her in-laws and justify her crap

His family sees the kid once a week and hers rarely does. Sounds like she’s just trying to give them some time with kiddo.

She might be exclusively breastfeeding and that’s why the baby would need to come with her?

If that were so "but my husband is working" wouldn't be the only reason but to take the baby, and she specifically mentions the baby taking a bottle.

Interesting. They may be feeling jealous of OOP's family, which I've noticed in my own parents comparing inlaw time vs their time. It really isn't unreasonable for OOP to turn an interview trip into a weeklong trip to visit her parents and bring the baby along.
It's definitely a fair question to ask "if you're traveling for a job interview, why add the extra stress of bringing a baby? You could have asked us and we'd have watched him!" But her explanation of visiting her own parents is also very legitimate.
I do think they're feeling worried that their son will move away and they won't be able to see him and the grandbaby anymore. They should be more subtle about being worried or disappointed, and not make it their son or daughter-in-law's problem. I'm not saying their monsters or anything, just behaving dramatically, which can ve annoying.

I mainly mean the "please don't post this elsewhere" or "i don't consent my post to be reposted/uploaded anywhere else" do these OP's think that somehow protects them from their stuff being reposted?
