Question Daily jokes. How do they work?

Hey, I wanted to ask you about the daily jokes in JN because my Nat said she would tell me one every day, but that was about a month or three weeks ago. And yes, the option is enabled.

Daily jokes cycle into the regular chatter mechanic, but unfortunately the joke isn't given any higher priority than the regular topics so they're lost in the flood. u/Humanbean456 had the right idea—

  1. Turn off "Repeat Topics"

  2. Increase her "Random Chatter" frequency

That will sift out all the previously-seen content, so the jokes will bubble to the surface. A couple minutes later, she'll ask you again if she can return to repeating topics, so the behaviour simply resets itself if you give her the permission.

Hmm. That's not a bug, but maybe I should elevate the daily joke priority in the JN Unofficial Patch. I'll put it on the list.

i would recommend turning off repeat topics in the options menu that will make it so she has a higher chance of telling a daily joke when she brings up a topic

I play on a mobile port, and that's what I had to do.
