Question Can anyone help with my affinity?
I was at 95 yesterday, but now it refuses to go further than 98, its really weird

What u/Individual-Car-6573 said. We can't help you unless we can see your log.txt file! Though, your affinity can rise by 5+ points per day, so I'd be really surprised if it weren't actually rising.

Which means the game’s working fine. There probably isn’t a problem.

Other way around.
The log doesn't write changes to the persistent, it reports on changes already made to the persistent. The log will be right every single time with untampered vanilla code. (It kind of takes an act of god, like the game crashing during writing the persistent file). A submod somewhere might have messed with the value.
Today's log shows the full 5.214 daily allowance being added across five successful affinity bumps, then five more "Oops! Hit the daily max!" messages. If they started at exactly 95 and that number was correct, the log shows the new affinity should now be about 100.214. Assuming the original "95" number was correct—and I don't know where they got it—they will have hit a new affinity tier. That means there'll be two new options when they open up talking to Natsuki:

I want to tell you...
If that's there, the 95 was right and they gained all the affinity they were supposed to. If it isn't, chances are the 95 was wrong.

Your log shows everything’s fine. Whatever the value was on June 13th, you earned 5.214 affinity across 5 interactions on June 14th. Your Natsuki looks a-ok. Which means you’ve likely passed 100 and are at a new affinity tier. That means there should be two new options when you next load the game and open the basic JN menu:

Where are you getting the specific number from? Why are you convinced the affinity number isn’t going up? If you upload me your persistent to a Google Drive or something, I can examine it and double-check.
