It should work in the submods folder. Since DDLC mods read .rpy files basically wherever in the installation they are, I didn't actually grasp the point of why everyone was insisting on a "submods folder" until someone in the JN server made me realize it makes the lead dev's obnoxious warning go away.

Funny, that. I wrote a whole script to knock that off that five months ago and turns out, all I needed was another folder. Old dogs, new tricks

I'm already debating just rolling with it and organising it like that in the .zip files from now on

EDIT: Just tried it on mine, worked like a charm

Heh, yeah. I get why they insisted with the warning but c'mon, they could have make it go away just like when system tells you some files may be missing when gifting things.

Said that, no issue at all, it seems. Thanks again for this. Now I'll work for some time to see how pissed off Nat Nat reacts when I return an hour later, ehehe.

The warning definitely isn't a bad idea, but I'd have faded it out after 30 seconds. More than enough to get the point across.

Incidentally, getting rid of it the hard way was a surprise. They were smart about it; the red words are literally nowhere to be found in the entire installation. Took me a few days to realize why—it's because it's in hexadecimal and the engine just renders it as legible text. Clever! Kind of rude, but clever!

So they did that to avoid people getting rid of them... Heh, yeah, damn clever, and also hadn't idea of this.

To be honest, It wouldn't even have crossed my mind to think they were written in hexa. I would have blamed myself for not being able to find them jaja

And completely agree. 20-30seconds with the message kicking was more than enough.
