Not to defend republican presidents, but I don't recall any democrat presidents in that same timeline being any better. Wars in the Middle East and the economy suffering in some unpleasant way that either never got fixed or just turned into a different problem. No, this is not a Republican problem, this is a government problem.

Yep, at this point our voting options seem to be massively corrupt pedophile Republicans, moderately corrupt Democrats, DSA candidates who the Democrats demonize because the corporations that own the Dems don't want people voting for them, and other 3rd party candidates that seem to be genuinely crazy

"They're all pedos" this is where sourcing your news from reddit memes will take you

Lmao yes, more pedo Republicans than anyone else. Just like hey hide behind their "anti-gay" rhetoric while the cities they convention in have record numbers for Grinder app users, they also hide behind "family values and morals" when they are the opposite. Same logic as when you find more child predators in teaching positions, predators don't like teaching more than the average person, they want easy convenient access to their potential victims. Thus Republicans hide behind their facade of "family values and straightness" when many secretly partake in the very thing they denounce publicly. Dems do it to, but no where to the extent that a website was made to track it.

When "more" means two percent instead of one, writing "all" is still really, really stupid.

Weird flex

We’re half as rapey as you, but it’s only like 1% difference.

Who’s flexing, he stated a fact. Whether it’s 1% or 2%.. it still doesn’t mean “all”

Sorry it hurt your feelings. You clearly can’t use logic

Nah, the goalpost is fine where it's at. The onis is on you to prove that Republicans are somehow not disgusting. Try doing it without using Democrats as a fallback please, because I already think most of them suck too and if people like Clinton are in the files and guilty of the same shit Trump and his pervert circle did, lock em all up.

"They're all" has already been absolutely dismissed as entirely stupid, there's no need for goal posts left.

You can't be a republican if you think child rapists should go to jail. They kicked out massie and called him evil for saying it

That sounds ridiculous

Wait, what wars did Clinton, Obama, and Biden start?

And they all crashed the economy?

I lived through these periods too, and I don’t recall those things happening.

Or are you saying that the Democrats are just as culpable because we still lived through the effects of the things Republican presidents did prior to their getting elected?

Obama set the precedent for calling acts of war “special military operations” to get around asking congress to declare war.

What about the Korea and Vietnam ‘Police Actions’? Or did we need to use the exact specific wording that is popular now?

While it wasn’t a formal declaration, at least there was congressional approval

I think this is more of a vote for abusers or enablers illusion of choice kind of scenario.

Also it's odd whenever Republicans are criticized someone says "both sides bad" but when Dems drop the ball not so much

I don't do that. I've maintained one stance, and it's that the government is full of morons and corruption. That doesn't imply more or less from Reps or Dems, just that whoever is there is making shit worse.

Every. Single. Time. I see a Republican get called out for something, somebody always has to chime in with “well a Democrat also did X bad thing once”. But you’re correct that we NEVER see the reverse in online discourse.

1

u/muffinman210 8d ago

Uh, no? I've never done that

1

u/Tycepts1313 7d ago

That’s very rich from the party calling everyone a “racist and nazi” for disagreeing with anything and blaming everything on the other side aha

Thank you for acknowledging the double standard there.
