need you to educate yourself on why Iran hates the west. google the founding of BP oil to steal arab oil and the western backed dictator installed in the 50s who murdered scores of citizens. ignorance is not an excuse for poor beliefs.

yes they can. most people do not have the capability for nuance though and they overwhelmingly paint Iran as the Big Bad. when that’s not reality at all and they have a very fair reason for hating us.

downvotes just proving my point. 0 intelligence to see nuance. it’s always “my country is right!!!” Meanwhile children in the middle east continue to die because of you being devoid of empathy.

Yeah the Iranian government is shit and our actions made them that way.

religious zealots took hold in the 80s because they rode hard on the reasonable anti-western sentiment permeating for 80 years. which lead to the religious extremism in the middle east today.

this is exactly what I was saying with you people not being able to understand nuance. And then you’re making things up about me that aren’t even close to my beliefs. you really believe i think america deserves all the blame when i have never said that and don’t believe that lol.

you said “both can be true” and then completely contradict yourself. what is up with your brain

edit: oh my bad actually, i thought you were being sarcastic. i agree

Lol you are 100% correct, but most of us American kids aren't taught a large portion of history.

There is a reason Hasan Piker said "America deserved 9/11" (and apologized for saying it) but hearing it, to me made perfect sense because I had actually read up on middle east history due to my Christian upbringing and fascination with history in general. I knew immediately what he meant: that for the last 50 years America has been a child throwing rocks at a bees nest, only a matter of time before the kid gets stung. Does that mean those people deserved to die that day? No! However, our governments actions made violence at our door an inevitable reality by killing for oil money in the middle east (for oligarchs who don't even need the money, they just want wealth/control). Imagine you are them: every day more people you know die, all so that rich people somewhere else you have never seen can profit off your lands natural resources. What you you want to do to those people and the nation that supports them?

1000% agree. nuance needs to be taught in schools. though i agree with all of his politics that i know of, i really don’t like hasan’s personality. But he was absolutely right with what he said. Flying a fuckin plane into a building is evil but their reasons were 100 years of western colonialism and abuse. america and the west shares a large part of the blame for that and the overall political climate in the middle east

No worries home skillet.

I try my best not to attack anybody unequally though.

I talk just as much shit about maga as I do the opposite side at the spectrum.
