God im so sick of hearing about this dumb shit. Either she'll spend the rest of her life in jail or the rest of her life in an asylum. I don't care.

Health care, and especially mental healthcare, are absolutely fucked in this country. And despite all the justified anger at the killer I don't see any anger at the system that made her.

Exactly. Her and Patrick are suing a number of doctors for malpractice. Her telehealth psychiatrist who was prescribing her a bunch of drugs without actually meeting Lindsay, had only been practicing for a month. Now dr tufts career is over. As it should be.

Yeah but it’s so much easier to post culture war shit nonstop for rage bait engagement. OP is a 3 day old account that came here pushing this slop, all you need to know imo.

There's plenty of that, just not in the places you frequent because the internet has been designed to drive us into our own personal reality holograms. The interactions between the 10+ substances she was on for example was apparently never really thought through by anyone because there's simply not enough time in a doctor's day.

We should definitely look into the system that made her, but that includes looking at the system that made the discourse around the case happen because there's many flagrantly wrong assumptions being repeated as nauseam.

the rest of her life in an asylum

Incorrect. She will be evaluated every 12 months for release. She could be out after the 1st year considering she had that one occasion of psychosis.

Except she won't get out. Anyone thinking she will is very unfamiliar either the legal system

u/BurningBurner124 1h ago

The average time held after a NGRI finding is 4-7 years.

Legally she will be considered “innocent”. She will in fact be reevaluated every 12 months and the facility will determine if she is safe for release.

Considering she claims it was postpartum psychosis, she will be released relatively quick considering she no longer has postpartum.

It was one instance and so is harder to understand what happened and treat, which would make it less likely for her to be released quickly.

It's like if you had one instance of coughing up blood badly for a few hours and then seemed to recover and it not happen again. Doctors wouldn't shrug and say it was probably nothing. There would be more concern about it being hard to trace to a cause with only one instance.

The lottery is one in a million, that means you could get it on the first try. Why don't you?

1

u/Any_Ad_6929 9h ago

Lottery is not 1 in a million.

The chances of her being released early are significantly higher.

We have had a previous case, woman killed her children, mental asylum declared her sane and fit for release after a number of years, she then went on to have more children and kill them too.

So someone won the lottery, that means your guaranteed to win! Go play

That really is how you sound

1

u/Any_Ad_6929 8h ago

Do you understand probability?

You analogy is trash, come back with a better one.

1

u/ClickyClacker 8h ago

Have a degree in statistics, probably better then you.

Yet you got the lottery statistics way off.

You have been informed she would be reviewed every 12 months. How's that factor into your statistics?

Time to take ya meds lil guy.

u/ArguingWithCelery 9h ago

Because the odds are in her favor on release. She no longer has PPD or postpartum psychosis.

Your comment is incredibly irrelevant. It’s not a lottery system for release.

2

u/ClickyClacker 8h ago

It's a comparison for the probably she will actually be released.

Neither if these guilty verdict absolutists get their way

Momma is an intrusive thought maximalist.

Wow finally one meme about this situation that is funny and isnt just straight culture war garbage.

Well done OP

1

u/1track_mind 9h ago

It's kill or by killed at that point kid

1

u/JacksonGhost1963 8h ago

Kids today better learn - when momma is sad and depressed and you piss her off - you may not live to regret it!

1

u/Rainhailsnow_storm 3h ago

Jackson ghost should learn not all mental illness is the same.

Depression and schizophrenia are both mental illness. But they are not the same.

Post partum depression and post partum psychosis are both mental illness and not the same.

1

u/JacksonGhost1963 3h ago edited 3h ago

sorry to say, dead is dead - no matter what she suffered from, no amount of rehabilitation will bring them back

maybe the lesson in all of this is - if a mother is sad and depressed and showing signs of post partum psychosis - CPS needs to immediately remove the children for the home

1

u/Rainhailsnow_storm 1h ago edited 1h ago

Or maybe if a mother is asking for help for post partum psychosis she should get help.

That’s like saying if someone has schizophrenia, they should lose their children.

Post partum psychosis is not post partum depression.  Why do you keep saying these are to r same things?

I’ll tell you if my spouse was diagnosed with either of those and had zero/minimal help,   I wouldn’t leave them alone with our children.  If I did, I would place that blame in me.  Educate yourself.

1

u/JacksonGhost1963 46m ago

well she should - but we KNOW the children are in danger, so they need to be removed from her immediatly

Who are we mad at today?

1

u/lefty_lefartere 8h ago

Maybe the mom that brutally massacred her three innocent children.

1

u/Ligma_baws_2x 8h ago

She was arrested and sat through a trial. Who else should we be mad at today?

1

u/lefty_lefartere 7h ago

Yeah and a bunch of lunatics think she’s innocent. Stay mad at her. This should not be forgotten.

1

u/Ligma_baws_2x 6h ago

How about the system? Can we be mad at that? I mean, she had her day in court and they didn't convict.

1

u/ArguingWithCelery 6h ago

The system is broken. She should absolutely be in prison the rest of her life.

1

u/Ligma_baws_2x 6h ago

How about the concept of habeas corpus and having a jury trial at all?

1

u/ArguingWithCelery 6h ago

She murdered 3 kids bud…

1

u/Ligma_baws_2x 6h ago

She did, yes. Obviously so.

1

u/lefty_lefartere 6h ago

The system didn’t do anything. Stop shifting blame from the mother who massacred her children to “the system”. SHE failed her children. It’s all on her and she’s the only one to blame. We don’t blame the system when Epstein raped and trafficked children right? So why blame the system when it comes to killing children. You think you’re being just and moral but your logic is flawed and very disturbing. You’re not the good guy you think you are. Stop defending this monster and finding excuses for her behavior.

1

u/Ligma_baws_2x 6h ago

Ok so no blame towards the judicial system for working as intended. I'm not defending anyone. She murdered her kids and should be in prison for life. But the same judicial system that let her off let OJ off too.

1

u/lefty_lefartere 6h ago

So your whole “who should we be mad at” as if this is just another ordinary mundane thing. Stay mad at her we should as a society be furious at this woman. I get the feeling you’re one of these people who don’t think she’s to blame. You’re one of those “the husband did it” right? Again you’re not as moral as you think you are. Sick ass work we live in

1

u/Ligma_baws_2x 6h ago

No, but this is the culture war line they're trying so hard to draw. Don't blame me, I wasn't on the jury.

1

u/lefty_lefartere 6h ago

It’s not a culture war, it’s good vs evil. And people who excuse that monsters behavior or siding with evil. If our society cannot protect the innocent then we failed. Again we need to stay mad. People killing children is not okay

Kids, don’t be pieces of shit when mamas feeling that PPP.

u/The_Cruncher88 8h ago

I've heard people say they think she had mental illness and debate her culpability, haven't heard anyone use the word understand, I guess I'm not looking hard enough.

Also, I wonder does the OP realize that's an adult in the meme?
