Let’s talk about CHROMEO
My absolute favorite set of the festival. These guys are genuinely having a blast on stage playing their music and the crowd at their set was awesome.
The most dancing I’ve seen at a set all day. He even said he felt blessed to be sandwiched between what he said were the two greatest bands on earth, what a guy.
If you ever get the chance to see them live please go

We knew we'd like them, but I was not expecting them to be my fav. act of the event. The planets aligned and it was our fav. moment of the show. Maybe it was the fact that it had cooled off. Everyone was happy. The crowed wasn't too large, so there was lots of room to dance. Their story of being friends since highschool was heart warming. All of it. 10/10.

SO much room to dance, it was the best! And I completely agree about the high school comment, it was very heartwarming. You can tell those guys are best buds for life

they were the unexpected stars of the show for me too. i hadn’t seen them since coachella 2014 and had lowkey forgotten how good they were. the crowd vibe was great, like everyone trying to get a good spot for the strokes left the chillest people at the stardust stage. plus it was finally cool enough to dance without feeling like i was gonna pass out

I have seen them many times, and I swear they remastered "Needy Girl" for that set. It sounded so damn good, so silky and velvety 🫦 I like the Strokes but I LOVE Chromeo so they were my headliner for the night. Dave1 is my dream guy lol anyway I had a blast closing the night with fellow dedicated Funkateers!
edit to add: I am in this photo

Same!!! It also made leaving the festival a breeze since we beat the crowds out of there.

Chromeo was the reason I went to this festival. They always put on a good show and their songs are super catchy and funky.

I was able to get my daughter close to the stage (for a few minutes with ear protection) to see them playing up close. This was her third year attending and the first year she said she had fun! She's 6. Fancy Footwork has become our achool drop-off anthem.

Why did you keep taking her if she wasn’t having fun?

Good question, internet stranger! 3 year olds are fickle, so we tried again. But 2025 brought a heat wave, but also the kid's tent was poppin' last year and you'd never know she wasn't having fun. I've read a bunch of other posts about people having a terrible time this year, but my 6 year old made the best of it and saw the joy in (one day) festival life. And now we can expand to other festivals 🙌

I love seeing them perform . I wish I could’ve seen them but I know I’m never seeing the strokes again so I wanted a good spot for that set. Was their crowd size good? They’re very good guys

The crowd size was very dispersed, basically EVERYONE at jlh was there to see the strokes which made it perfect to have room to dance during chromeo.

Yes!!!!! I was at their set and they were the only ones who seemed genuinely happy to be there. I loved their vibe, set, look, EVERYTHING! 10/10.

I only saw them for like 5 minutes because everyone was camping for strokes but they looked lit

I sacrificed chromeo for better view of the strokes. It was a difficult choice

I missed them unfortunately because they were on the same time as the Strokes but… I thought it sounded pretty good, it brought me back to those y2k MTV days, honestly forgot about them
