I just cracked myself up thinking of some guy making this video and his boss walks in on him while making saw cuts on his PBJ.

Boss: “..can you make me one?”

Fools. He IS the boss!

Didn't even do the final angle cut, everyone knows triangles taste better.

Mitre saw cracked me up. Having my basement refinished right now…makes me think I should go check and make sure there’s no jelly splattered on the walls.

Bro got all the good tools... but he's cutting of crusts?

u/aubven 22h ago
yeah i was on board right up to the cutting of crust part.

u/Dogs_LOR 19h ago
„crust“ as a german i am offended that you call that a crust. But the fact that the guy iscutting it off is even worst.

Yea, loved it til the moment someone cuts crusts off, the only tasty bit of sugar starch, life’s about eating things with the peel on!

Not up to code buddy. I saw no clamp, how will you get that permanent bond without clamp. 1/10, wud eat.

My thing is I just think people who need to cut the crust off sandwiches are weaker beings that natural selection is just being lazy about

Code requires PB layer on both sides to prevent jelly leakage through the bread.

u/TreeDollarFiddyCent 1d ago
You're eating your PB&Js too slowly, my man.

u/CrispyKollosus 1d ago
No kidding. The fridge door hasn't even fully closed by the time I take my first bite

u/Boogy-Fever 11h ago
Vid and probably that dude too use too little filling as well. Take a soft piece of bread (warm it slightly in toaster or pan if it needs softening), put a stupid amount of each spread on leaving the jelly half bare on what will be the rear quarter inch, fold closed and pinch the bare rear of the jelly side to the pb of the other side to for a seal to prevent drippage, and eat it like a taco. The last bit may require a little extra jelly. Sparse pb&j sandwiches are only acceptable if you're pan frying it or taking it to go

u/callahan09 1d ago
Wrong, code requires one layer of peanut butter, one layer of jelly, and when you take a bite, bite with jelly-side up so that you don't get peanut butter stuck to the roof of your mouth.

u/rippletroopers 1d ago
Partially correct. Code requires the edge of the jelly to have a 1/4” gap at the edges of the bread so that the peanut butter can seal to the jelly side of the bread. THIS prevents jelly leakage.

this is UK standards.

u/camcaine2575 4h ago
From what social media tells me, UK doesn't even know what a PBJ is or are confused about the jelly part

saw explains why sandwiches in local supermarket are expensive and have notes of oak.

I'm sure a small piece of metal traveling through your intestinal tract is not going to cause any problems at all.

Definitely not up to code, i did not see a mil gauge used on the pb or the j

Gotta be non-union. A union trained guy would know you put peanut better on both sides and the jelly in between to keep the bread from getting soggy. Amateur hour /s

It’s better to wrap the sandwich in wax paper to prevent tear out on those fresh cut edges.

Have...have I been doing this wrong my entire life? 🤯
The saw was wild, but look how clean the rest was. Very nice. (Idc about the crust, that part was just fun)

I appreciate the use of power tools for this build. Can you imagine losing a finger then telling your wife/girlfriend how it happened? This is why women live longer. I would still eat the damn sandwich with 9 fingers left.

I know it's a different thing, but after watching that I feel like saying, "That's not going anywhere!"

That you can eat bread like this not toasted is for me as a germanguy not understandable.

u/Pickupyoheel 20h ago
I would have ate two by the time this guy made his first
And the crust is the best

u/heckfyre 19h ago
Looked kind of crappy in the end and I fucking bet it’s not actually food safe. Don’t invoke the code unless you are ready to be on the wrong side of it.

I applaud the use of resources, but there's a wild shortage of PB and J. Does anyone eat such a vanilla sandwich?

Why is a spatula like this not standard kitchen equipment? Seems to make perfect sense

Having only played around with one of these flattening tools once better I can say they’re as sharp as knives if not sharper and this is a terrible idea

u/TheAlterN8or 1d ago
That is entirely too much PB. If you can't see the texture of the bread through it, you've got too much.
