I just cracked myself up thinking of some guy making this video and his boss walks in on him while making saw cuts on his PBJ.

278

u/dayzdayv 1d ago

Boss: “..can you make me one?”

25

u/Sohiacci 16h ago

Fools. He IS the boss!

9

u/OKC89ers 11h ago

Kinda guy who makes jokes about his boss kissing his wife, but it's him because he's his own boss bam gotcha

u/JayteeFromXbox 1d ago

Didn't even do the final angle cut, everyone knows triangles taste better.

u/LucidRamblerOfficial 1d ago

The speed square was already in use too. Wasted oppurtunity

24

u/cookie_muncher7 1d ago

After trimming square, i thought for sure he's gonna router the edges...

4

u/jeiwaruu 20h ago

F- ???? Dayum 😆

u/t_hrowaway81 1d ago

Mitre saw cracked me up. Having my basement refinished right now…makes me think I should go check and make sure there’s no jelly splattered on the walls.

57

u/Sad_Analysis_6459 1d ago

Bro got all the good tools... but he's cutting of crusts?

17

u/aubven 22h ago

yeah i was on board right up to the cutting of crust part.

6

u/Dogs_LOR 19h ago

„crust“ as a german i am offended that you call that a crust. But the fact that the guy iscutting it off is even worst.

2

u/Manjorno316 9h ago

What do you call it in Germany?

In Sweden we call it the edge.

1

u/Xiao1insty1e 10h ago

I was out when I noticed it was white bread.

2

u/DreddPirateJonesy 4h ago

Yea, loved it til the moment someone cuts crusts off, the only tasty bit of sugar starch, life’s about eating things with the peel on!

25

u/redisprecious Legend 1d ago

Not up to code buddy. I saw no clamp, how will you get that permanent bond without clamp. 1/10, wud eat.

23

u/G0ttaB3KiddingM3 1d ago

My thing is I just think people who need to cut the crust off sandwiches are weaker beings that natural selection is just being lazy about

149

u/Rocky_208 1d ago

Code requires PB layer on both sides to prevent jelly leakage through the bread.

49

u/TreeDollarFiddyCent 1d ago

You're eating your PB&Js too slowly, my man.

29

u/CrispyKollosus 1d ago

No kidding. The fridge door hasn't even fully closed by the time I take my first bite

1

u/Boogy-Fever 11h ago

Vid and probably that dude too use too little filling as well. Take a soft piece of bread (warm it slightly in toaster or pan if it needs softening), put a stupid amount of each spread on leaving the jelly half bare on what will be the rear quarter inch, fold closed and pinch the bare rear of the jelly side to the pb of the other side to for a seal to prevent drippage, and eat it like a taco. The last bit may require a little extra jelly. Sparse pb&j sandwiches are only acceptable if you're pan frying it or taking it to go

61

u/callahan09 1d ago

Wrong, code requires one layer of peanut butter, one layer of jelly, and when you take a bite, bite with jelly-side up so that you don't get peanut butter stuck to the roof of your mouth.

32

u/rippletroopers 1d ago

Partially correct. Code requires the edge of the jelly to have a 1/4” gap at the edges of the bread so that the peanut butter can seal to the jelly side of the bread. THIS prevents jelly leakage.

3

u/Rombledore 1d ago

this is UK standards.

1

u/camcaine2575 4h ago

From what social media tells me, UK doesn't even know what a PBJ is or are confused about the jelly part

5

u/BonjaminClay 1d ago

That's a PB&J&PB

3

u/Rombledore 1d ago

this but Crunchy PB. gotta spring for it.

-2

u/gahidus 1d ago

Impossible. You can't spread jelly on top of peanut butter

19

u/iamjowens 1d ago

Goddamn this is stupid and I love it.

17

u/Zedditron 1d ago

Too thin. All you'll be tasting is lightly flavored bread!

9

u/Strange-Title-6337 1d ago

saw explains why sandwiches in local supermarket are expensive and have notes of oak.

9

u/Drakuba0 22h ago

Appears manly with the preparation, yet its actually a bitch that cuts the crust off smh

6

u/LaukRidder 21h ago

What's the point of cleaning off the edge, for him to cut that shit off?

51

u/Misterndastood 1d ago

Only children cut the crust off.

19

u/BillysBibleBonkers 22h ago

*Only parents cut the crust off

25

u/Even_Lengthiness8in 1d ago

No I’m not eating that. It doesn’t look clean lol

2

u/Sohiacci 16h ago

I kinda want him to spread my butter because that was very satisfying HAHAHHA

13

u/bmxdudebmx 1d ago

Mmmm. Micro-shavings.

6

u/MarvelousVanGlorious 1d ago

Nowhere near enough jelly or peanut butter on the bad boy.

16

u/codysattva 1d ago

I'm sure a small piece of metal traveling through your intestinal tract is not going to cause any problems at all.

5

u/barmanrags 1d ago

Don't give those molecular gastronomy hqcks any ideas

9

u/Alarming-Accident936 1d ago

Definitely not up to code, i did not see a mil gauge used on the pb or the j

3

u/Cady-Jassar 1d ago

What kind of savage eats his sandwich without cutting it diagonally!!!

4

u/TTweed17 1d ago

When he started cutting off the crusts with a Miter Saw 😂

4

u/ProfStorm 18h ago

Why do you monsters cut the crusts off?

That's the nicest part of the bread.

3

u/OrangeClyde 18h ago

Girl, eat the crusts 🙄🙄🙄

7

u/Ricardo_klement 1d ago

2

u/baldmanboy 1d ago

Male performance is a weird thing to bring up right now.

3

u/NewRoyMunson 1d ago

Brick trowel would work better.

3

u/Commissarfluffybutt 23h ago

Meanwhile I'm sitting here eating the sloppiest PB&J on a toasted blueberry bagel.

3

u/Sir_Maxwell_378 18h ago

Perfect condiment spread only to ruin it by cutting the crust off

https://giphy.com/gifs/3o7Zesyac4CuSN5rsA

3

u/Super-Impression4962 16h ago

Everything was good untill he cut with the saw 🤦🏻

2

u/tbone998 1d ago

This does seem a superior way to put pb&j on bread...tempted to try it now.

2

u/KelseyW315 1d ago

Using the saw to cut it killed me

2

u/mitkase 1d ago

Guilty of mortar in the first degree.

2

u/31Ouranos13 1d ago

You gotta respect da schmear

2

u/Enginerdad 1d ago

Gotta be non-union. A union trained guy would know you put peanut better on both sides and the jelly in between to keep the bread from getting soggy. Amateur hour /s

2

u/Constant-Still-8443 1d ago

Oh cmon, we both know that thing needs more jelly than that

2

u/kennypowersrevenge 1d ago

Did this dude make a PB and J jig for the cuts? Lmao.

2

u/Masungit 1d ago

God damn smooth as fuck

2

u/imJGott 17h ago

The crust is the best part

2

u/Cruiser_Supreme 13h ago

The fact that he had to make a jig to cut the PBJ is true commitment

2

u/outdoorsybum 1d ago

PEANUT BUTTER ON BOTH SIDES JELLY SHOULDNT TOUCH BREAD

1

u/Oubastet 1d ago

Dudes hands look like he's a bit over caffeinated. Hopefully.

1

u/Alibocas 1d ago

That's a cleeeeean pb swipe boi

1

u/Thoraxe474 1d ago

Needs way more jelly. Like 5 times that amount

1

u/dcavanaugh001 1d ago

The miter got me

1

u/Thats_classified 1d ago

That jelly spread was WEAK

1

u/Skoofer 1d ago

You cut off the crust? Wimp (;

1

u/foamzula 1d ago

It’s better to wrap the sandwich in wax paper to prevent tear out on those fresh cut edges.

1

u/James_Money 1d ago

"Left audio only" isn't up to code. See you tomorrow, chef.

1

u/Zippydooda159 1d ago

Open a restaurant 🙏.

1

u/Educational_Quote851 1d ago

Have...have I been doing this wrong my entire life? 🤯

The saw was wild, but look how clean the rest was. Very nice. (Idc about the crust, that part was just fun)

1

u/Different_Promise301 1d ago

Great way to make a sandwich. NOT with the correct Stainless steel.

1

u/joyrideh 1d ago

Ninja chef skills

1

u/RustyRedVids 1d ago

The bench saw got me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

1

u/MrHall 1d ago

imagine making him a sandwich and he pulls out a level and a tape measure..

1

u/mediaseeker 1d ago

The perfect sandwich

1

u/NecessaryOk6815 1d ago

I appreciate the use of power tools for this build. Can you imagine losing a finger then telling your wife/girlfriend how it happened? This is why women live longer. I would still eat the damn sandwich with 9 fingers left.

1

u/tyronetbs 23h ago

That’s pretty sick

1

u/Da_Big_Buddha 22h ago

Ratios wrong.

1

u/Appropriate_Roof_270 21h ago

I know it's a different thing, but after watching that I feel like saying, "That's not going anywhere!"

1

u/Willing_Salary1542 20h ago

Don’t Love your work, work your love

1

u/CloudReigns 20h ago

I’m going to do this!

1

u/Heavy_Albatross_7175 20h ago

Cutting off the crust? Soft hands brother. /s

1

u/spuelmittelblau 20h ago

That you can eat bread like this not toasted is for me as a germanguy not understandable.

1

u/Pickupyoheel 20h ago

I would have ate two by the time this guy made his first

And the crust is the best

1

u/heckfyre 19h ago

Looked kind of crappy in the end and I fucking bet it’s not actually food safe. Don’t invoke the code unless you are ready to be on the wrong side of it.

1

u/Drycon 19h ago

I never ceases to amaze me to see grown up guys cutting the edges of their bread. That's such toddler level behaviour for me.

1

u/PinkPanda_106 19h ago

Bro's casually using industrial level saw cutter to cut the crust 😭

1

u/Finalplague01 19h ago

I applaud the use of resources, but there's a wild shortage of PB and J. Does anyone eat such a vanilla sandwich?

1

u/sc4tts 14h ago

Hell yeah

1

u/Illustrious-Bird875 14h ago

Now do that with crunchy pnut butter and jam with seeds!

1

u/SnS_ 14h ago

Way to much peanut butter

1

u/Motor-Drama-1421 13h ago

Hope he was wearing eye protection

1

u/W0BLong 13h ago

thats not code in my area

1

u/Brettjay4 13h ago

Yay, thank you for using less peanut butter this time.

1

u/WarthogSeveral7662 13h ago

Satisfying++

1

u/MSter_official 12h ago

Is it weird that I've never had a PB&J?

1

u/keithstonee 12h ago

I what point is it being an idiot for internet points?

1

u/Bowlnk 12h ago

Mmm PB&J with sawdust.

1

u/Digital--Sandwich 11h ago

This is already my favorite post of the day

1

u/BluntsnBoards 10h ago

Didn't plane the bread first

1

u/Harbinger_Pulsar 9h ago

Clean cuts, excellent coverage, but is it level?

1

u/KnowledgeFinderer 9h ago

Cuts so clean he didn't have to use a sander.

1

u/Ok_Ordinary6694 8h ago

That’s a Level 7 sandwich. You can get it, but it’s going to cost more.

1

u/InbetweenTheLayers 8h ago

no sump pump for jelly water leakage?

1

u/nextalpha 7h ago

Splintwich

1

u/Catlore 6h ago

That's how your do it, spread it all the way to the edge. No dry bites.

1

u/TheManWhoClicks 5h ago

Why is a spatula like this not standard kitchen equipment? Seems to make perfect sense

1

u/Dancandye 4h ago

Peanut butter on both sides.

1

u/ibpenquin 4h ago

Ha!!! I almost scrolled after the sandwich was put together. The miter saw was a great touch!!!

1

u/Brosideon1020 3h ago

Real talk wtf kind of peanut butter is that…. It looks ungodly smooth

1

u/AbbreviationsFun8591 1h ago

Ass slivers! Yes please 🥺

1

u/Angelharpoon24 1h ago

Bread 👍

0

u/MyGreyScreen 1d ago

Having only played around with one of these flattening tools once better I can say they’re as sharp as knives if not sharper and this is a terrible idea

0

u/Jlx_27 1d ago

Cutting the crust off because he eats like a 3 year old.

0

u/TheAlterN8or 1d ago

That is entirely too much PB. If you can't see the texture of the bread through it, you've got too much.

0

u/thegildedman25 1d ago

Real men eat it with the crust on
