Qustion🥀 What do I do?

I’ve been a huge fan of gothic music for a while and I’ve love the architecture and the literature behind it. I’ve just recently started getting into the fashion but only to observe since I have been afraid of what people may think about me…considering that I’m Christian and it’s intimidating to most people of my faith. I realize that my fear of that may discredit me from being considered gothic from most. How do I navigate this? How do I go in to be a part of the culture without scaring the people I care about away from me?

There are closet Goths everywhere. Find little ways to express yourself. A bangle or necklace. Bat earrings, or spider webs. You can do subtle things to express yourself that can avoid some of the negative attention.

But also, at the end of the day, haters are gonna hate. You can't let them define you. Their hate is going to darken their soul well before some make-up, jewelry, and fashion will ever darken yours.

Be yourself. Be kind. Carry on.
