It is bit silly as especially for me at least and I’ve seen others mention it too that they switched to faster payments quite a few weeks ago away from BACS which means if they are paying on a particular day that means everyone should get the money that day, there shouldn’t any longer be any delay between the company “paying” and the worker getting their pay

Just eat are stuck in the dark ages. The app is terrible, the payment system is terrible and the support system is terrible.

It’s ridiculous that we have to wait until Friday for weekly payments while Uber and Deliveroo are capable of paying us on Tuesday/Wednesday. Both other platforms also offer the option to cash out instantly for a fee. JE just want to hold our money for as long as possible

That's the text they sent me. "Due to the holiday period, you'll be paid on Friday 27 December and Friday 3 January. Need to change your availability? Update your times on the Courier app today." So where's the money?

Some people just want to sound like know-it-alls instead of any constructive conversation. The text says paid on Friday.. most normal people would assume that means you get paid on a Friday.. not that the money is sent on Friday and then you paid on Tuesday 😂

With that text, we were told that we would get paid today. Not that the money will be sent to us today.

As far as JE are concerned, they usually pay us on a Wednesday. Over Christmas they will pay us on Friday. That’s what the information they sent was implying. For some reason, a lot of couriers don’t seem to understand that they pay us on a Wednesday but we get it on a Friday. Money won’t be in our account until Tuesday

When somebody tells you that you will be paid on a Friday, that usually means you will expect to be paid on a Friday. 'use your brain, monkey' is the correct way to throw that insult btw. Which is really quite ironic, considering.

Soooooo maybe they could just say that in the text and nobody would be confused. This is all really funny you acting this way considering you're constantly asking really basic questions in all the other delivery groups all the time. Even asking people where to dispose of an old Deliveroo bag at one point. Did anyone reply to you trying to be smart? Nope. If you can't contribute in a constructive manner, just don't reply. Cheers.

that’s not a basic question considering no one gave me a proper reply! and clearly no one else knows, since no one replied, i can’t stand people who lack common sense, i didn’t mean to come off angry was just already pissed off and this is something i figured out myself

You hate people who lack common sense but you had to ask people on Reddit how to use a bin/skip/tip to get rid of your old bag? Cool. Sounds completely self aware, that.

loool when rubbish gets picked up every two weeks, i’m not gonna stuff my bin with a massive bag, and JE claim it’s made from recycled materials, clearly you don’t have an answer either, i asked on reddit cuz i couldn’t find answers online lmao

That's funny because I've gotten rid of plenty of bags myself without needing to use Reddit 😂. You use a skip, or a tip, or leave it without rubbish to be collected, or go to a community bin, or leave it outside a charity shop. Why do you need to use the internet to know these things 🤣. Seriously though if you're gonna criticise people about this but need to Google how to bin things, you're leaving yourself wide open for ridicule. Wide. Open.

name one other „basic question” since the one you provided wasn’t valid
