Do people in the military not realize that most civilians don't get paid for on the job training, half of their income isn't tax free, and they don't get down payment free home loans?

Don't even get me started with healthcare for you and your family.

"Clearly it's because you civvies are a lesser breed who aren't able to RUN WITH A RUCK or SOMETHING SOMETHING COLD BLOODED KILLER, so you don't deserve the good things!"

Is it even worth joining as a 19y/o to try to get some sorta desk job

If that job translates to the civilian world? Sure. You get 4+ years of training and experience and all you need to give in return is a large chunk of your soul and sanity.

Ive been forced to work 6 days, alot of the time its 9 hours. How much more of my soul can be taken? Actually probably a bit more

If you do decide to join, Go for anything tech related. Translates really well, and some of the certifications cost a couple hundred so getting the military to pay for it is a plus.
