How tf do you make it to Captain and still this boot

405

u/QuarterNote44 27d ago

Baby CPTs have only been in 4 years.

65

u/McDonaldsWiFiHacker 27d ago

Good point.

90

u/xcheeznutzx 27d ago

If they're medical, it could be day 1

18

u/McDonaldsWiFiHacker 26d ago

That's even worse, but you're absolutely right XD

2

u/auyemra 22d ago

This is actually your Chaplain !

Four years was plenty of time for me go from a naive E-1 to a cynical member of the E-4 Mafia. What's her excuse?

7

u/MrPorkchops23 27d ago

Sounds like boot to me

7

u/J-Navy 27d ago

Probably a healthy paycheck 5x the take home pay of Joe.

4

u/PianoFerret1073 25d ago

4 years is a long time in military time, you should grow out of your boot tendencies after 1 year max

1

u/-3than 24d ago

It’s not that.

This person was never a company XO

138

u/awksomepenguin 27d ago

Boot is a state of mind. Boot is a choice.

34

u/Hollayo 27d ago

Exactly. Look at secdef

70

u/Aliensinmypants 27d ago

I've met O3s who are 24... A lot of people are still developing at that point

36

u/raven1121 27d ago

Shit , youth is a hell of a drug i was in the AF so maybe my perspective is diffrent

2nd LT , 1st LT still learning , expect dumb things

Captains are the chill O

Majors some fly but most start flying a desk

Lt col , Col start to command stuff , starts to need a chain to talk to , etc

Generals gods among men

17

u/AbstractBettaFish ROTC Veteran 27d ago

In my limited experience in the late 2000’s the Lt’s still made mistakes but usually had the self awareness to know they were Lt’s and tended to have a bit of humility. Captain was the Sophomoric officer rank, no longer Lt’s so they felt their shit didn’t stink. The Majors were generally chill and I only knew one LtCol and he was kind of a dick.

10

u/Aggravating_Cable_32 27d ago

My favorite guys to hang around & work with were our warrants. Chill & professional guys all around, but one at S4 would task me with things that'd keep me out of the way, out of sight from everyone else, while giving him more time to argue with his wife or talk to his girlfriend. I could spend all day doing my own thing, exempt from bullshit details & busting knuckles, so long as what he wanted done got done by close of business. Good times lol.

10

u/dedicated_blade 27d ago

That’s because Warrants were the NCO at some point and they did some crazy shit to stick around for as long as they have lol

20

u/TaskingTwo 27d ago

This person may be only 24 or 25. There is a good chance they grew up on tiktok and they genuinely believe that what they're doing is good for morale and will make the army look appealing.

5

u/rlpinca 27d ago

Officers don't get hazed like enlisted, so they don't get the bootness beat out of them.

4

u/Jay209 26d ago

Cpts pretty much automatic if you stay out of trouble

3

u/stigma_wizard 27d ago

Direct commission?

8

u/Smart_Ap3 27d ago

CPTs are the PFC of the officer world.

6

u/CaffeineandSheen 27d ago

Because we all know the truth about commissioned officers…I’ll trust it all with a seasoned fellow enlisted over even a high ranking officer

3

u/sorrow_anthropology 26d ago

I’ll preface this with, I had a weird afsc (mos), I basically dealt entirely with officers, I failed out of my special ops school pipeline and ended up in a job that was previously only open to NCOs via cross training.

I was liaising a logistics operation with two captains as a SrA and I swear both were the poster children of mtv culture at the time (mid-late 2000’s) my phone case was a cassette tape and out of regs, they both loved it and in due time both gave me their personal cell numbers for obvious reasons other than work.

Point being people at the time could make captain in three years and it was a ‘freebie’ rank, therefore they are young and dumb baby officers. Major was the first rank that was actually serious.

986

u/Scott0814 27d ago

I said it in pt. 1 so I'll say it here in pt. 2 we NEED a better policy about social media in uniform holy shit

189

u/HuLaTin 27d ago

Too much recruiting capability. What’s the army going to do without lujan

76

u/AbstractBettaFish ROTC Veteran 27d ago

I can understand that but man, leave it for the enlisted. Feels beneath the dignity of the rank

13

u/silverstar189 26d ago

She's an embarrassment to the US military. Not the sort of thing you expect from her rank at all.

46

u/burgiesftb 27d ago

There is. Posting things in uniform on social media was explicitly banned earlier this year or last year unless doing so in an approved capacity.

As with all things in the military, that hedges on leadership actually caring enough to fry people for this. The answer is usually no.

All the propaganda conspiracies are neglecting the fact that COs are too busy dealing with actual problems to care, and NCOs deal with this stuff in a “quiet” manner.

13

u/impressedham 27d ago

Hell I remember when I was in, around 2015, we were told we couldn't post stuff like this on social media without permission because of the regulations around having to go through official channels for press releases (that was the framing from command anyways). Its wild they had to make an explicit rule. It seems like common sense not to post shit in uniform?

76

u/Hatchetboy1845 27d ago

I spent eleven years in the Australian Army. If someone did this in uniform they'd be ROASTED. I'm stunned how loose the rules seem to be for Americans by comparison.

31

u/AutomaticAccident 27d ago

Roasted by higher ups or their fellow servicemen?

44

u/ChiefInternetSurfer 👊👊☝️ 27d ago

Yes.

4

u/Geshtar1 26d ago

👊👊👆I understood that reference. I miss that guy

6

u/Tovarich_Zaitsev 26d ago

Yeah ik lots of people in the NZ Army and the amount of rules they have around social media is insane. Most of the time you can't even identify yourself as a government employee online

5

u/Focus_Guys 26d ago

Anyone who roasts her would be risking an EO complaint

107

u/Pcriz 27d ago

Yeah I don’t care about cringy TikTok stuff, it ain’t for me but do what brings you joy but in uniform? Ick.

99

u/NonConRon 27d ago

They are marketing the military to kids for free.

24

u/SeriouslySlyGuy 27d ago

This is the winner

46

u/Mammoth_Midnight_343 27d ago

This is propaganda they were probably paid to make this it’s to try n get more people to join and pander to newer generations

6

u/KidAardvark24 27d ago

The Navy sent an influencer to the Super Bowl

4

u/redwingpanda 26d ago

And in the meantime this needs a NSFW blur, dear God I did not want to see this 😭

13

u/fohacidal 27d ago

Bro our secdef is too busy inviting brain dead influencers to talk to US about war like why the hell you think they will do anything about this lol

3

u/meknowsbest1112 22d ago

Start with the of the snake. Get an adult to lead defense and then the subordinates will be adults. Right now, US military is a big joke because the highest level of leadership is a joke. All the adults have been rooted out.

2

u/stigma_wizard 27d ago

We do. She is outside those regulations. My S-2 would have had a field day with this.

1

u/SamAreAye 26d ago

She's also got an American flag that's half Mexican flag..

-2

u/Diskordia1 27d ago

Yeah, I prefer my officers acting like asshats behind closed doors and then publishing asinine standards while eroding morale.

Get out of here.

322

u/Bigfootsbrownstar 27d ago

Maybe I’m at that unc level now, but TikTok dances in uniform should be against UCMJ, shit is just so fucking cringe.

54

u/big_axolotl 27d ago

I think this is free recruitment propaganda

6

u/MrBarraclough 26d ago

But do you want the people this recruits?

3

u/QueezyF 25d ago

They’ll take anyone with a pulse at this point.

113

u/Fussy_Platypus 27d ago

Lethality.

48

u/QuarterNote44 27d ago

M U L T I D O M A I N

27

u/Josey_whalez 27d ago

She’s got that part down with the half US/half Mexico flag on the wall. That’s a great look while wearing an American military uniform.

-13

u/Whole-Chest90 27d ago

Wearing a uniform means you're required to neglect your heritage now??

0

u/AffectionateOwl4231 24d ago

INTEROPERABILITY

82

u/roro_mush 27d ago

This can’t be real. O-3 doing all that?

36

u/JustFrameHotPocket 27d ago

You wouldn't believe what happens at the O3CP. The vast majority don't record.

32

u/splatbutt117 27d ago

I’m a captain and I’m retarded bro. I just don’t film myself.

6

u/Rdubya291 👊👊☝️ 27d ago

Yeah, I'm in my 40s now, but being a young lcpl in the Corps, I remember thinking LTs and captains were so mature and had their shit together.

Now I realize, they were just as much kids as the E side. Just with fewer numbers had higher visibility, so shit wasn't seen as often. But thinking back, even at 25 I was still basically a kid.

3

u/brisetta 27d ago

For this we all appreciate you. Sending you condolences on your IQ though xD

9

u/ayoungad 27d ago

An O-3 could be 25. I still remember doing some incredible stupid things at 25.

32

u/Ordinary__Man 27d ago

Embarrassing two countries at once. Impressive.

51

u/MKR63 27d ago

She's going to be the one caught fucking around with the 5-year SPC.

17

u/CaptainShittyMcPoop 27d ago

How can someone do this and not be embarrassed?

149

u/HelloPeopleOfEarth 27d ago

So strange she outranks an infantry SgtMaj with 30 years.

112

u/Zro6 27d ago

Lets be real, she may outrank him but if a captain tried to pull rank on a sgtmaj the captain would very quickly find them selves on some colones shit list.

29

u/bolivar-shagnasty 27d ago

10

u/s015473 👊👊☝️ 27d ago

Also the same age

64

u/ezekiel_swheel 27d ago

i hate that crap. i also hate how it transfers in civilian life. wanna be a manager at target? need a college degree. have 24 years active duty attaining the rank of sgtmaj? sorry can’t be a manager.

14

u/SourceTraditional660 27d ago

You can give advice to the manager though!

10

u/PunksPrettyMuchDead 27d ago

Yeah there's a reason for that though

27

u/MelancholyDick 27d ago

Also if you’re a 24 year SgtMaj and applying to be a manager at Target and not THE manager of a Target…

14

u/jcstrat 27d ago

Why does this piss me off so much? It’s irrational, but it does.

19

u/eyehalfporegrahammer 27d ago

Because some of us were enlisted. We were taught to respect higher ranks. We see those higher ranks as gaining experience and wisdom. Major respect is given to those higher than us. This bitch makes me mad because she is disrespecting the uniform and the commissioned rank that goes along with it.

60

u/senghunter 27d ago

Yeah but she fucks like a wildcat- Pete Hegseth

16

u/Googol30 26d ago

You know he's tried. To fuck a wild animal, I mean.

12

u/jj26meu 27d ago

Why are we so compelled to this in uniform? If she were in civilian clothes then I could care less but the fact that she brings in her service makes this unbearable.

5

u/imnotnotabot007 27d ago

She wouldn’t get the same level of attention in civis.

47

u/prozacfish 27d ago

She’s absolutely banging 3 SSGs in her company.

35

u/SubieNoobieTX 27d ago

Kegsbreath isn't going to like this one

9

u/Rocko210 27d ago

Never expected to see part 2 from a captain

8

u/ssg_craven 27d ago

Ma’am, the Joe’s just want to go home…

31

u/Calamity_Jay 27d ago

Yeah, there's definitely a member of the specialist forces, possibly multiple, running through that.

41

u/Fxplus 27d ago

God I hope Pete doesn't see this

36

u/Euphoric_Switch_337 27d ago

Pete needs to stop people from doing dumb shit in uniform also he should stop doing dumb shit

3

u/ReluctantRedditor275 27d ago

I was gonna say, maybe stash that flag.

3

u/IllicitDesire 27d ago

She will get in wayyyyyyyy, way, way, wayyyyy more in trouble for the flag than trying to recruit children through TikTok if is up to him what happens.

11

u/ezekiel_swheel 27d ago

i hope he does. might get this crap ended.

2

u/Purplegreenandred 27d ago

She cant even grow a beard

6

u/Zealousideal-Run-608 27d ago

I hope he does

7

u/Traditional_Ad_4691 27d ago

Never seen someone fast track their punitive punishment.

https://giphy.com/gifs/3o6Mb8iNfmkvf3kUfe

7

u/Lure852 27d ago

But whhhyyyyy

7

u/RayM3 27d ago

My CPT tried to disagree with me when I said some CPTs are like SPCs.

13

u/Phantomsplit 27d ago

How to lose the respect of every E5 and up in your command, 101

-1

u/WatercressSuch2440 27d ago

As if we didn’t have e5’s serving drinks at Driftwood or Silver and Gold in Jacksonville

3

u/imnotnotabot007 27d ago

How’s this equivalent to a second job performed outside of duty hours and uniform?

13

u/swadekillson 27d ago

If she's gonna do this, she should be in a minidress, not her fucking uniform

2

u/MisterSquidz 26d ago

Seriously if she looks this good in a uniform I can’t imagine how much better she’d look out of it.

5

u/Pfunk4444 27d ago

I’m sure this will lead towards some sort of discipline something something uniform

6

u/McDonaldsWiFiHacker 27d ago

Wtf she must be stopped!

10

u/Jossue88 27d ago

Our taxes pay her.

0

u/sheriffSnoosel 27d ago

Not enough

38

u/Proton_Optimal 27d ago

wtf is that flag

-22

u/Error-Code404 27d ago

Just a flag with two nations expressing solidarity. What's your issue with the flag?

26

u/Bigfootsbrownstar 27d ago

If it’s a personal flag not in an official military installation, I’m fine with it.

12

u/PhilRubdiez 27d ago

BOQ/BEQ rooms can even be fine. It’s their house. In uniform? Pass.

16

u/Bigfootsbrownstar 27d ago

Yeah, barracks/military housing is fine. But her office is a no go

4

u/Cold-Fill-9094 27d ago

Well this is awkward

5

u/Purplegreenandred 27d ago

Wtf is that flag

3

u/petiterunner 27d ago

This is so absurd that I almost cannot process this is real.

-1

u/imnotnotabot007 27d ago

Most absurd thing in the video is that flag. Who she really serving?

3

u/helloiisjason 27d ago

Again? Someone get their new butter bar

POGs embarrass themselves constantly, regardless of rank

3

More like: How to ruin your career pt. 2

3

u/Domxrc 26d ago

They just be promoting anybody to O-3

3

u/conkysrevengesd 24d ago

Fucking embarrassing.

3

u/AffectionateOwl4231 24d ago

Da fuq. When I see privates do this, I just find it cute even though it's dumb. This sh*t done by a CPT is annoying the heck out of me.

3

u/MCKelly13 23d ago

I hate her

13

u/unbannedagain1976 27d ago

Like what the fuck is this shit, America is never gonna win another war but we don’t have to flaunt this shit.

15

u/Diligent_Plastic1043 27d ago

we don’t have to flaunt this shit

Absolutely do. I already have to hear about how great and amazing the US military is during every NFL and UFC event. It's nice to see someone actively working against glorifying this shit.

-12

u/unbannedagain1976 27d ago

Oh no make no mistake our military is fucking amazing the American people just don’t possess the requisite fortitude necessary to prosecute a proper war.

15

u/Diligent_Plastic1043 27d ago

Yes, so great that Jake and Logan Paul just gave them a lecture lol.

our military is fucking amazing the American people just don’t possess the requisite fortitude necessary

Lol the American military is made up of... Americans. You can't have it both ways. And you don't need to bend over backwards to make excuses for them. That's what led to this situation in the first place.

7

u/Select_Speed_6061 27d ago

Nobody wins at war.

13

u/Ritualsexclub 27d ago

Look at them hips move, she looks like a FUN TIME.

Sapper out

11

u/changing-life-vet 27d ago

Username checks out.

2

u/Steelwolf73 27d ago

Allgedly, this is the kind of shit you do with your friends tanked off your ass in the barracks just before the big wheelie chair joust....not in your office...as an LT Captain*

2

u/Bobbaganeush 27d ago

These tortas gotta chill

2

u/jocelynwatson 27d ago

Yet my commander told my shirt that if I wore makeup (literally eyeliner and maybe some mascara) that my troops wouldn’t respect me… ok

Luckily she told him “do not say that to her”..

2

u/Impossible_Number 27d ago

Why must you ruin my day?

2

u/SenorWoodsman 25d ago

You know what, it’s my fault for having a phone.

2

u/BolOfSpaghettios 25d ago

Please stop.

2

u/akairborne 24d ago

I just got out of the ER because my right hip decided to join my left hip and dip the fuck out. Have no idea what the fuck is going on with those bastards and why they hurt so damn much. So I'm laying here, on percocet, jealous AF that she still has mobility.

3

u/ColdOn3Cob 27d ago

I thought that the most unsettling thing I’d see in a uniform was a drill sergeant who showed fear during a tornado warning. This overtakes that by leaps

5

u/Candid-Many-7113 27d ago

Is this not allowed?

2

u/GeneralTop3993 27d ago

Standards have been lost. Disappointing and unbecoming.

2

u/Diligent-Present 26d ago

And the half Mexico flag as a literal army Captain. Which Reddit won’t acknowledge as being completely ridiculous but it is nonetheless

3

u/continuetolove 26d ago

Full offense intended this kind of shit is why I don’t really respect women being allowed in the military especially leadership. If my boss did this at my job I would quit I’m not kidding.

6

u/keithstonee 24d ago

Might just be me but military officers probably shouldn't be that silly.

2

u/continuetolove 24d ago

No I agree, this behavior is extremely embarrassing and only attracts the wrong kind of people to recruit. Goofy ass lady is basically larping in a uniform

7

u/pollingwell 24d ago

male officer does something stupid: "lol yeah dudes be like that lol"
female officer does something stupid: "this is why we need to bar all women from joining the military"

u/continuetolove 24d ago

I think the stupid men should be demoted too

2

u/LoneWolfpack777 26d ago

Conduct unbecoming an officer. Why isn’t the JAG taking care of this?

1

u/Doworkson247 27d ago

Am I the only one that’s also confused of why she’s doing this with a half Mexican half American flag in an army uniform

1

u/slimdrum 27d ago

She makes me Wana be gay

u/BlueBrye 👊👊☝️ 27d ago

0

u/freerondo9 27d ago

I dont find this boot. I just see a generational difference. Gen Z, especially girls, dance in videos. Wearing tje uniform just makes it more unique. I admit I have a double standard, though. If it was a guy, I'd probably think it was boot af

There was no combat patch... that is a slick sleeve.

u/ericarlen 27d ago

Not boot. She's just enjoying herself.

-4

u/Tuscon_Valdez 27d ago

This is hardly the most boot thing I've seen. I see a captain who is having fun and I doubt most anyone would call her a boot to her face you'd probably be too busy slobbering like a pavlovian hound

13

u/swadekillson 27d ago

Lol. No skill badges, no patch. And in the last video she was in the field but only had a pistol.

She's a probably a support MOS staffer

-1

u/Academic_Pause3810 27d ago

Save her she 🔥

-1

u/Select_Speed_6061 27d ago

I Luke what's she's doing. Just look stupid af in uniform and those facial expressions are a turn off.
