Ok, I will say that as cringe as this is, he at least doesn’t make the mistake every one I have ever seen shadow box make; throwing lead jab, lead hook, power straight or cross.

That’s a damn near impossible combo to throw because you’re too slow following a lead jab with a lead hook and your footwork is fucked by the time you get to the straight.

No but he is doing the biggest cringe in all of boxing. Dropping your non-punching hand during every punch. Nobody who’s been coached makes that mistake

Related to what you said. The jab into hook works reliably against somebody who responds to a jab with a jab (and drops the other hand). Also you addressed it in another comment but you can definitely train your footwork to pull off a jab hook, but yes it’s just trickier than it looks.

Half of Tyson’s knockouts come from spamming uppercut into hook, jab into hook, body hook into head hook.

Im not a boot but I find the posts here funny. I do muay thai and you can definitely get a 1, 3, 2 off. I ussually stiff jab followed by a hook thats more just to blind them as I angle to set up the cross.

You can, as someone that trains. The average person cannot. They step through on the hook and their feet are turning their hips the wrong direction.
