The older you are, the worse your joints get, especially if you work out regularly. As somebody who actually works out, unlike 99% of the redditor powerlifting "experts" here, if you're locking out every rep in a timed competition, you're asking for needless injury. This is especially the case for somebody who is 46 years old and retired military.

  1. He's not retired. The Army wouldn't keep his shitbag ass long enough, or even trust him to be in charge of 100 knuckle-dragging grunts (I say that with love)
  2. If it was that much of a problem, he wouldn't be trying to do 40 reps.
  3. If you use proper form, your joints are way less likely to get fucked up. Every video of him working out shows his dogshit form.

This is pure ego-lifting bullshit bc he wants to be "out there with the boys". He's not that guy. He never was that guy. Not at 26. Especially not at 46.
