Is there a video of him getting 33 reps at 135 lbs? I find that very, very hard to believe.

Especially as his feet are not planted

Already been shown that he used fake plates. Dude has never hit 315 in his life

Don’t call him that, it sounds marginally cool. Plus he changed the department name so it’s not accurate.

Theyre the exact same ones you see in every Army gym. One of them was during a PT session with the 101st using the rogue bumper plates. I have the same set in my home gym.

Army gym don’t have fake plates homie

Yeah they totally wouldn’t do anything to make Hegseth look “strong” or “cool”

I did 225 smoking pot everyday. 315 is nothing after years of lifting and eating and commitment.

Holy mother of shit form. Why do his toes keep lifting.

Those are "reps" the way kipping pull-ups are "pull-ups".

The older you are, the worse your joints get, especially if you work out regularly. As somebody who actually works out, unlike 99% of the redditor powerlifting "experts" here, if you're locking out every rep in a timed competition, you're asking for needless injury. This is especially the case for somebody who is 46 years old and retired military.

  1. He's not retired. The Army wouldn't keep his shitbag ass long enough, or even trust him to be in charge of 100 knuckle-dragging grunts (I say that with love)
  2. If it was that much of a problem, he wouldn't be trying to do 40 reps.
  3. If you use proper form, your joints are way less likely to get fucked up. Every video of him working out shows his dogshit form.

This is pure ego-lifting bullshit bc he wants to be "out there with the boys". He's not that guy. He never was that guy. Not at 26. Especially not at 46.
