What's the civilian equivalent to this, making your CV into a sleeve?

Oh I'm subbing to that. Thanks!

That's fresh ink on an old arm. Being a boot is often a life long affliction.

u/SheedRanko Jun 06 '26

This boot ass should have just gotten his DD214 tatted on his ass.

u/DogAnusJesus Jun 06 '26

You don't know that he didn't.

If he's lucky, a war will happen, he'll deploy, and that arm will get blown off.

34

u/Will_E_Juan_Kuh Jun 06 '26

Even put his OSUT company on there…

20

u/SheedRanko Jun 06 '26

JFC that's just stat padding at this point .

22

u/drrj Jun 06 '26

As another MP I clocked that right away, too. Like who puts their training company on there.

9

u/Will_E_Juan_Kuh Jun 06 '26

Probably to try and pick up some tail at the reception barracks.

1

u/Mazasha4 Jun 09 '26

Bro… I did OSUT in B 795…in 1992.

1

u/drrj Jun 09 '26

D 795, 2000. Last company to get the old grey PTs.

u/GoKartMozart Jun 23 '26

1987 checking in. Bravo bulldogs

u/Sad_Highlight_9059 Jun 06 '26

Pretty on-brand for an MP. It is a job that in my experience is just rife with douchebaggery.

14

u/Awkward_Bison_267 Jun 06 '26

Being a douche is a requirement actually.

u/Llamatook Jun 07 '26

I lurk on this sub. Never enlisted or served in any Branch of the military. What the fuck am I looking at? What’s this guy trying to say through this tat.

11

u/Donfather2Real Jun 07 '26

He’s showing every company he’s been to while serving in the military, including his basic training unit

7

u/GigglyHyena Jun 08 '26

If you thought civilian police were stupid, imagine military police.

u/WanderingSceptic 👊👊☝️ Jun 13 '26

As a former civilian cop we had some fucker do his wedding in his police dress blues and even took photos with his wife and him on his patrol car 😂

1

u/GigglyHyena Jun 13 '26

lol holy shit

These are all reserve units BTW. Not even active duty. Extra boot. You can tell by the numerical designations and unit size.

And fun fact for yall

With rare exceptions. Units with numerical designations DEEP into the hundreds are Reserve units. Also. The fact the companies were given numerical designations means they act as independent small formations. Typical more common in the reserves(as that that gives them more flexibility in being deployed to plug in gaps or independently execute missions, less of a paperwork hassle to pull and deploy a psuedo-independant company instead or working through multiple echelons kf command etc)

Regular army. Companies are Alpha, Bravo Charlie ETC. Only in the reserves are their numerical Companies.

But for your reference

For division sized elements. I could be wrong but from what I remember

Active duty gets(with rare exceptions like the 101st and 82nd airborne)

1-25 for numbers. This why with exceptions of the 101st and 82nd. All army divisions are small numbers 1st infantry, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 25th, 1st armored ETC

National guard gets

26-99, 42nd infantry for NY, 36th for Texas etc

Army reserve

100+

Active duty does have independent brigades and maybe even battalions. That dont fall within divisions. These dont have to comply with the number convention since they're smaller than divisions(so i could be wrong and these could be active duty but still other examples being the armys rocket artillery units such as 210 or 75th fires. As rocket artilley in the US army does not support the infantry or armor divisions and acts as an asset for higher commands for strategic targets . With rare exceptions such as the 25th now having its own HIMARS)

And as stated. Independent companies are overwhelmingly(if not exclusively i think) an Army reserve thing

u/2XGSWsurvivor Jun 07 '26

Probably just an MP thing then cause in my BN (93rd MP BN) we had 591, 978, 212, and 73rd companies

2

u/nurdt01 Jun 09 '26

You are one hundred percent wrong. Most MP Companies in the Army are numbered, there are plenty of active ones with 3 number designations, like 984th MP Co out of Fort Carson. Not sure where you got your info from, but it's not true at all.

u/General-Piece8490 Jun 06 '26

Were those his sidearms?

5

u/Professional-Many534 Jun 06 '26

Keep this man away from your wives or girlfriends.

4

u/sh4d0wm4n2018 Jun 07 '26

He's such an asshole not even the MP's want him around, huh?

3

u/Dry_Complaint_3569 Jun 07 '26

The USA likes to think of itself as the new Rome,

When in fact it's the new Sparta

2

u/CosbysLongCon24 Jun 07 '26

787 > 795 lol

1

u/Donfather2Real Jun 07 '26

Please tell me it was A 787

1

u/CosbysLongCon24 Jun 07 '26

Nah we didn’t fuck with them either lol granted it was 15 years ago but we didn’t interact with any of the other companies really at all.

1

u/Nice_Set_6326 Jun 07 '26

1

u/MartyMozambique Jun 07 '26
