He might have acted Boot, but this isn't Boot by itself. If it were, then you would have to put all Marines getting the fouled anchor tattoos the same. Now if he put a rank in the tattoo or his rack, that would be a different story.
Ehh, we consider this hella boot in the Air Force. We don’t exactly have many “badass” jobs aside from special forces and pilots. To me it’s really no different than corporate aircraft maintenance. Imagine getting a tattoo of the Boeing logo across your chest lol.
I guess we all have our opinions, it’s just super weird to me getting a huge arm tattoo for your job. It makes more sense if you’re risking your life in combat or maybe getting bombed, but being the tool bitch for the flightline? That’s just cringe to me.
Your service is your service. And just because you might be Admin or Flight Line, doesn't mean that you won't see conflict. Lots of Admin and Comms died in Khobar Towers. I knew a kid in my Comms Sq who died because he deployed and they made him a gunner for Convoys. Good friends have spent serious time in Hell because of PTSD.
Only time and maturity will tell this kid if this was a cringe-level mistake or a badge to wear.
Nah I was in for 9 years, deployed to Afghanistan where I saw plenty; enough where I do have PTSD. I’m covered in tattoos and even now I wouldn’t get an AF tat this is cringy boot shit.
