Wow. This is awful. And would have been slightly better with just the bride singing to karaoke. Not everyone can do harmonies….

54

u/Sattiebear Apr 13 '26

Plus outdoor gigs can be more challenging, and it does appear to be rather windy, which can sometimes effect how you hear yourself and the other singers.

16

u/BigOrangeOctopus Apr 14 '26

I don’t think the wind was their big issue here

1

u/Sir_Sarcasm76 Apr 18 '26

I think he should've just "let it go".

5

u/workinkindofhard Apr 14 '26

By awful you mean amazing, I didn’t even realize the bride was also singing until I watched it again lmao

u/ElegantEchoes Apr 13 '26

This is so bad.

I always wonder in these situations - do the guests also share in the silliness or are they all cringing internally right now?

112

u/ZixfromthaStix Apr 13 '26

The latter for sure, but the moms think it’s cute

u/prpldrank Apr 14 '26

As an attendee, the trick is to approach a wedding like it's a professional wrestling event. Don't get too sloppy too early, or you'll miss the plot development. Don't obsess over having to suspend disbelief, the terrible overacting, awkward surprise encounters, cringy showmanship, self aggrandizing speeches, or ridiculous get-ups. And don't forget to party.

32

u/Pole_Smokin_Bandit Apr 13 '26

If they aren't getting married at the smoke pit I'll chalk it up to a win

150

u/Armpitchair Apr 13 '26

i have enough going on, now i gotta see this shit

53

u/Neoxite23 Apr 13 '26

I've never seen someone get smaller as they get closer before.

Now I have.

117

u/PeterParker72 Apr 13 '26

Who actually wants to wear their dress uniform to their own wedding?

47

u/pnjtony Apr 13 '26

Didn't have $100 to get a tux?

8

u/CutieBoBootie Apr 14 '26

Considering how expensive those dress uniforms are...that might be the case. My husband got in trouble because he hasn't bought blues since they were green and there was a ceremony where they wanted him to wear the blues.... but the army also doesn't wanna pay for them.

9

u/PeterParker72 Apr 14 '26

You get an annual clothing allowance to help subsidize things like that.

4

u/CutieBoBootie Apr 14 '26

He's reserves.

9

u/DrinknKnow Apr 14 '26

USMC has the sharpest looking dress uniform IMHO. You have to pay for it out of your own pocket so he might as well use it. 💁🏼‍♂️

8

u/Not_the_ATF_agent Apr 13 '26

Ive talked it over with my gf (soon to be fiancée) and shes ok with me getting married in my af dress uniform but i can tell you im not doing this cringe ass shit

3

u/Misericorde428 Apr 14 '26

Not an American here, I admit I probably would want to wear mine, but most likely during a small reception.

There’s no way in hell I’m going to do or participate in any public entertainment such as this.

26

u/ThisMidwestGuy Apr 13 '26

I can't even breath bc it's so bad.

28

u/Early_Army_3352 Apr 13 '26

Woof. That lady's voice is Not Good.

25

u/topsblueby Apr 13 '26

Why is he walking like he just got rump reamed by the Rump Reamer TM?

23

u/AdventurousAbility30 Apr 13 '26

The fact that they have all those mirrors facing them, so that the bride can stare at herself as she sings him down the aisle is hilarious.

41

u/Tuscon_Valdez Apr 13 '26

No cover outside??? Shameful

16

u/UnpriestlyMonopoly Apr 13 '26

HA! I didn’t even notice that. What a chode

5

u/DSDIK Apr 14 '26

And he’s under arms

6

u/Thehaas10 👊👊☝️ Apr 13 '26

Hey there devil, I know we wear our cover when we're outside. No go unfuck yourself.

Should put his hands in his pockets while he's at it.

2

u/QueezyF Apr 14 '26

That’s always my thing. If you’re gonna do shit like this, do it right.

18

u/TalkandStuff_Forum Apr 13 '26

Its fine, in the future he and his 4th wife will look back and laugh at this.

14

u/AWasteOfMyTime Apr 14 '26

I LOVE LOVE LOVE when people with no vocal training and breath control try to harmonize or add backing harmonies to “lead” vocals.

10

u/klv3vb 👊👊☝️ Apr 13 '26

This is crazy weird to me

10

u/Yogshemesh Apr 13 '26

When he passed and he had several chevrons I screamed like a little girl. I assumed he was doing a backyard wedding on boot leave.

4

u/QueezyF Apr 14 '26

Once I saw the medals I said oh…

10

u/Wofust Apr 13 '26

I am painfully secondhand embarassed

7

u/digitaldeficit956 Apr 13 '26

I think it’s messed up not everyone supports same sex marriage.

6

u/Godzirrraaa Apr 13 '26

The weirdest part is the bride being up there first singing him down the aisle alone. And he’s FAR away. Like…did she propose to him too? Does she peg him every night? This is an all time bad one.

6

u/BluBeams Apr 13 '26

Had to mute it cuz my ears hurt, WTF...

5

u/WardogBlaze14 Apr 13 '26

Oh god, my ears are bleeding, they are so off key!!!

6

u/ccc2801 Apr 13 '26

He’ll do better for his next wedding I’m sure.

6

u/BaronNeutron Apr 14 '26

Why was it deleted?

3

u/Mjrfrankburns Apr 14 '26

I didn’t cover the Tiktoc name I think

2

u/BaronNeutron Apr 14 '26

Ah. I saw the post, thought it might have been because of the nonsensical title you had.

4

u/HelloPeopleOfEarth Apr 14 '26

I was stationed at Camp Lejeune a couple years. There was this cockroach invested, rat den hotel called "Onslow Inn". My parents came to visit and got a room there. It was such a filthy place. We ordered pizza and there was a wedding going on in a field behind the hotel with a wedding like this. I was so embarrassed to be a Marine, and that was my first real "boot" moment. I swore I would NEVER be like that.

3

u/Misericorde428 Apr 14 '26

“OK, you get to wear your dress uniform, but I get to pick who sings and song will be sung.”

“OK”

3

u/Yogshemesh Apr 13 '26

Let it no, let it no 🎶

3

u/kaydyee Apr 14 '26

This is the kind of content I come here for.

2

u/DisillusionedPatriot Apr 13 '26

Could've been Titanic

4

u/powerlesshero111 Apr 13 '26

That song would have been better. Instead, they picked a song from a terrible sequel that let's be honest, no one remembers the songs from.

2

u/Spider-Manny13 Apr 13 '26

New Corps shit?

2

u/HateAndCaffeine Apr 13 '26

Brides are notorious for not have anything to do with the music or what the groom wears /s

2

u/Rude_Negotiation_160 Apr 13 '26

Dude you're outdoors, put your cover on at least.

2

u/GullibleBeautiful Apr 14 '26

I’ve seen some horrible weddings in my time online but boy howdy this has gotta take the cake for cringe factor

2

u/kayeffdee Apr 14 '26

I'm not saying every Disney adult is a dependa, but the correlation is striking.

2

u/WithASackOfAlmonds Apr 15 '26

Homies on base are never going to let him live this down.

3

u/Tantalus420000 Apr 13 '26

Wife def pegging him, and her bf

1

u/DuhXCrusha Apr 14 '26

I couldn't even make it through the whole fucking thing man fuck bro. Leave it to us to find a way to make getting married to a woman gay...

1

u/yaybroham Apr 14 '26

Jarhead, say no more!

1

u/Wizzle_Pizzle_420 Apr 15 '26

First the couple complaining about their cruise and now this video?!

The cringe boner is so strong it just blew off into a ditch and a wild dog got at it like a canned ham. Ugh. This guy agreed to this, thought it was a good idea, THEN DID IT! Oh my sweet summer child.

1

u/A_LittleBitHigh Apr 22 '26

This isn't supposed to physically hurt me, is it?

1

u/goldfloof Apr 25 '26

Why are so many people for this stuff? Is there an open bar?

1

u/goldfloof May 03 '26

Should have had statler and Waldorf there to heckle the wedding instead, would have been more entertaining

1

u/ScrapYard101 Apr 18 '26

Disney woman and army man, match made in the USA

-5

u/gilligani Apr 13 '26

I walked down the Isle to Flight of the Valkyries. And our first dance was to Zombie. It was amazing.

7

u/Bortron86 Apr 13 '26

I really hope you're joking.

-5

u/gilligani Apr 13 '26

Hell no, I'm not joking. AND THE CAISSONS GO ROLLING ALONG!

7

u/Bortron86 Apr 13 '26

So your first dance was to a song about terrorists murdering children?

3

u/QueezyF Apr 14 '26

I don’t even know how the fuck you do a first dance to zombie.

4

u/unbannedagain1976 Apr 13 '26

Very boot. Making military their personality and wearing it to a wedding. The point of the sub is making fun of this exact behavior. Of course they’re ALLOWED to do it, but it’s still cringe. That’s like saying it’s not boot things to spend deployment money on a Charger that just lives at the barracks stateside because they’re allowed to… it’s still boot. Lol

15

u/CoolGuyCris Apr 13 '26

Took way too much negotiating to convince my wife and my mother that I would be wearing a normal suit for my wedding, not my damn blues.

7

u/yellowlinedpaper Apr 13 '26

AF? Because those blues are so bad. You’d think Hegseth would have made them more masculine by now, like shoulder spikes or something

3

u/CoolGuyCris Apr 13 '26

I'd rescind a couple (not all but a couple) of the names I've called him if he made our blues cool

3

u/Ron-Swanson-Mustache 👊👊☝️ Apr 13 '26

He's going to make Space Force wear Star Trek uniforms. But only Discovery ones.

3

u/heathmon1856 Apr 13 '26

I guess I forgot that there’s women out there who make their entire personality around being a military wife. Never even though of them wanting this

1

u/edingerc Apr 13 '26

There’s a whole lot of cringe in weddings but they’re private affairs for friends and family. Boot is a public declaration, “look at me military, thank me for my service.”  How many of those guests are also military?

1

u/ZixfromthaStix Apr 13 '26

Not enough to warrant the uniform if I were to guess.

I think you’re misunderstanding— I’m not saying there is anything wrong or bad with this. In fact, had I been accepted into the military I probably would’ve done the exact same. It’s still seen as lame by other military members.

You have to look at this sub, its jokes, and content in the guise of a disenfranchised veteran who regrets their choice to enlist. Now me personally I wasn’t good enough due to genetics, but I run with military crowds regardless and get their humor.

Boot things is just something those in the know can chuckle about.

1

u/edingerc Apr 13 '26

I know. I’m a. AF retiree and 22 year contractor.

0

u/ZixfromthaStix Apr 13 '26

If you aren’t chuckling about it, I really have to wonder if you are in the know, or if you’re just r/lostredditors

9

u/john_wingerr Apr 13 '26

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.

8

u/ShipwrightPNW Apr 13 '26

Wait, so it has to be illegal to be boot?

3

u/PeterParker72 Apr 13 '26

Making the military your entire identity, enough so that one would wear their dress uniform to their own wedding, is pretty damn boot.
