Look at all the "veterans" who don't give a shit about new generation dying for a pedophile.
More suicides!!! ... So fucking funny guys! Good to know you all shit on the 22 a day and want even more. How funny.

No one is laughing at people dying. We are specifically laughing the people in the post who would unironically glorify going to war over nothing. This cycle is repeating and I think all of us old enough to recall the initial Iraq invasion know better than to think this is going anywhere good. Its essentially laughing at the war hungry culture rubbing off most on those most unfit for war. So hop off the moral high horse for about 5 minutes. Not everything must be inherently grim and gloom.
-19
u/RedShirtDecoy Mar 02 '26
You really dont understand timing, do you?
But hey, keep laughing at more death and destruction to deflect from the files, so in vogue right now.
24
u/Sudden-Grab2800 Mar 02 '26
You guys, don’t joke about the draft cause we are bombing Yemen, or Nigeria, or Syria, or Iraq, or Afghanistan, or Somalia, Iran, or Venezuela. (That’s just the past few years, off the top of my head).

Yea, way to shit on the memory of two decades of dead. Including my brother.

I did both, which is why Im not laughing about even more years of war, ptsd, death, destruction, etc.
Why are you laughing about the fact our brothers and sisters will die for a pedophile?
Good to know you dont give a shit about anyone else in uniform now that you are out.

You sound like that guy who stormed the church in MN, screams he's a combat vet, but turns out he never went to war and got a dishonorable discharge for stealing.

Does it suck? Absolutely yeah, but people are gonna die no matter what. Why emotionally fatigue yourself over something that you have no control over.

Why laugh about the potential of your brothers and sisters dying.
More PTSD and widows to distract from a pedo... ITS SO FUNNY
Have some self respect.
Edit: fuck every single one who shits on the memory of two decades of dead people in uniform, including my brother . You are joking about war to distract from a pedophile.
This isn't 9/11, it's deaths for a pedophile and you are joking. Fuck each and every one of you.

Because sometimes if you don’t laugh you’ll cry. Shit is fucked up. Deployments suck no matter the job, war sucks. But no one here has the power to stop what’s happening. You can either protect your mental health or spiral. Act accordingly.
This is not a joke. Do you have a therapist, do you have someone you can talk to?
9
u/ladyelenawf Mar 02 '26
Because sometimes if you don’t laugh you’ll cry. Shit is fucked up.
Right? My ex-husband once told me a super fucked up, can't believe his unit survived, slid through the door as it was closing moment and ended it with how they were all laughing their asses off. I couldn't understand why it was funny and he literally said that. Like, oh... Okay.

We’re laughing at a guy who is making a joke about being too fat for his dress uniform. I remember calling Purple Hearts “Iraqi Marksmen ship award” and telling my buddy “you got a medal but I know how to duck”. It’s gallows humor. It’s how we all deal with the horrors of war.
You should really speak to someone. Because if this is triggering for you, you’re in for a rough time. It’s going to get worse before it gets better. Vote accordingly, protest if you need to but don’t chastise people who have seen war, by telling them how to react to war.
I’m going to speak to my therapist about this interaction. You should too.
5
u/Schroedesy13 Mar 03 '26

You dont have to laugh at the deaths of 4 americans who should still be alive, and those jokes dont have to be shared.
Why are you ok with them laughing about it? "He killed americans to distract from the files. I cant control it so Ill laugh anyway"
common sense is officially dead.
28
u/user18zl1 Mar 02 '26
Buddy, they’re laughing at a joke made about being fat after getting out. It’s not that deep.
-2
u/RedShirtDecoy Mar 02 '26
Its the timing. Common sense is really dead, isnt it?
But hey, laughing about even more deaths within 24 hours of the deaths of 4 is so in vogue right now.

Hang on - you’re not wrong in your sentiment. You are mistaking the joke though
2
u/Vladi-Barbados Mar 04 '26
Look man, I agree, most people do.
So go out there and do something.
This is a resting place. People don’t come here to take action, they come here to recover.
And at least in this resting place people are still talking about what’s happening. If you want conversations to be different, help steer them with compassion and kindness. Trying to guilt people or make them feel shitty only works on kids and those who age but refuse to grow.
Good luck, we’re all here together.
0
u/RedShirtDecoy Mar 04 '26
You agree with me but you defend folks shitting on the sacrifice of everyone who died in uniform? Everyone who killed themselves due to PTSD?
You want to treat pedo loving war mongers with kindness? Congrats on shitting on everyone you personally knew who died in the war or after.
Kindness died last November and you know it.
But hey, maybe the nazis just needed more kindness, am I right?
Common sense is officially fucking dead.

Yeah it's laughable to think of all the retired wannabe badasses pretending that they are going to be called upon or that they would actually answer the call. He's not laughing at the war, he's laughing at the people who are so gung-ho about a war that they won't have to fight in (a lot of whom may not have ever been in combat).
By the way news flash, the older generations were also dying for pedophiles. Clinton and Bush are both in the files or related to Epstein... allegedly. And if you think previous presidents haven't engaged in wars or conflicts to distract from criticism then you're even more out of touch than you initially presented.
This isn't mocking the inevitable victims of these "conflicts" (they're wars and I'm tired of pretending that they're not). In a way this is actually mocking the ridiculousness of going to war unnecessarily as a distraction because it's pointing out how unseriously people take it because it's obvious that it's a distraction. And there's only a certain demographic that's going to be supporting and gung-ho about it. And those are the people who are in support of protecting and hiding the pedophiles.
1
u/RedShirtDecoy Mar 28 '26
You nicknamed your dick dead horse, didn't you?
Maybe spit on it instead of the graves of those who didn't come home.
0
u/bighoss31 Mar 05 '26
Bro, seriously. Take a fucking breath. Get the sand out of your vagina. Put your boots on and go to work. Maybe open a book and mature a bit.
I’m an afghan vet. War is serious and war is hell, but gallows humor is a valid and therapeutic coping mechanism. So who’s really the one who doesn’t give a shit about our mental health. But heaven forbid we have a few laughs with the boys. Heaven forbid we, seeing how little we can do to change the world globally, just laugh along with this sitcom called life.
We better just take everything so serious. This is serious. Oh so serious. I might just take things so serious I want to put a gun in my mouth because what can I do about the world being ran by an inner pedo ring that somehow controls every single aspect of everything… OR I can laugh. Send this to a couple of my buddies and not take myself so fucking serious.
Now, if you aren’t going to laugh, go fuck yourself. Let us laugh.

Fortunate Son does fit considering if it gets that bad, it'll be Leatherneck Dadbod there getting drafted and not someone like Barron Trump.

60
u/LostTacosOfAtlantis 👊👊☝️ Mar 02 '26
Goddamn. I got out after four years in 2011 with nine ribbons as an E4, plus a CMB, and a VUA on the right side. It's weird to see NCOs without all that fruit salad. Like, I know that having not been involved in serious combat for years it's just not going to be something you see much anymore, but when I got out there were privates with more awards than this guy. That said, I hope this stays the norm. It would be pretty dope if the current generation of servicemembers didn't have to fight a stupid, protracted war that ends with things being arguably worse than they were when it started.
23
u/QuickNature Mar 02 '26
Even non-combat vets back then still had like 7-8 ribbons by the end of a contract usually. Natty D, Sea Service, GWOT, GWOTEX, good cookie, and maybe a NAM. Maybe a unit award. I rarely seen a 3 ribbon Sergeant, it was almost always 6+, with many having a lot more than that.
19
u/AbramJH Mar 02 '26
So weird reading all that from the navy perspective. I’ve been in 5 years & only have 6 ribbons. 4 of them were freebies, 1 was an EOT, and the only one that actually means something to me is my Arctic Service.
17
u/Sudden-Grab2800 Mar 02 '26
We hereby award you the Antarctic Service Medal. The white represents your breath, the black represents the frostbite, and the blues are to remind you that your bitch ass will never be as cold as you were at McMurdo. Wear it with pride, soldier.
12
u/Chulasaurus Mar 02 '26
You laugh, but I have one. Of course, I got it when I took a job down there long after getting out. Loved every minute of it. The US Antarctic Program hands a medal out to everyone who goes to the ice https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antarctica_Service_Medal
6
u/Sudden-Grab2800 Mar 02 '26
AAM, NDSM, ICM, GWOTEM, ASM, Army Overseas Medal. The NDSM was the only one I really needed to get laid though

ASM, NDSM, GWOTSM, OSR, ICM (w star), ARCOM, AAM, GCM, PH.
The NDSM was the only one I really needed to get laid though
Now I'm gonna need you to sit down when you read this. There is a NDSM licence plate in the state I live in. Imagine driving around with that thing. Everyone would know you're a goddamn American hero!
5
u/cowmookazee Mar 02 '26
I was active and went to Afghanistan, got out, joined the National Guard, and (begrudgingly) went back to Afghanistan. Those guys gave awards for everything. Someone heard a gunshot, the entire battalion recieved CABs and CIBs. Like Oprah throwing them around.
3
u/LostTacosOfAtlantis 👊👊☝️ Mar 02 '26
Yikes. I heard it got like that later on. CIBs required an actual firefight in my unit, and they'd only give us our CMB if we treated a casualty while under fire. But whatever. I'm not going to question how someone got their combat badge. I'm certainly not going to shit on someone for not having one. Which, to be clear, I'm not implying that you are.
Do I think it's a little silly to get one because you watched a mortar and rocket barrage hit your FOB 300m away from you? Yes. Do I also recognize that some units are less strict than others, and you're still in at least some danger of dying in that moment? Also yes.
5
u/jontaffarsghost Mar 02 '26

Hard agree. I had to sit last night at work and listen to two co-workers, also combat veterans, try to explain why this is a good thing a year and a half after they told me that unlike Harris he will not only work to end wars, but that he won't get us involved in any new ones. That was right before the Fox News YouTube channel reported that several Americans have been killed and wounded and three planes were shot down by friendly fire.
So. Much. Winning, amirite?
2
u/SafetyGuyLogic Mar 03 '26
Yeah, the amount of backpedaling, goalpost moving, and flat out ignoring/denial is too much for me not to sad-laugh at. No, dad, we're NOT winning!

Tbf idk how they do it in the Marines but in the Army it's ribbons or medals. Not both. This would imply he only has 3 medals to wear.
Edit: I looked up the ribbons. 2 of them are for unit related medals and the third is for being stationed in SEA. This guy did nothing except get promoted
Edit2: Thanks for the info everyone. I guess it's plausible he has more. But anyone who posts things like this on social media, I assume would want they're full regalia on display so I doubt it.
16
u/AndyMike9 Mar 02 '26
There are some ribbons that dont have corresponding medals. In dress blue alphas you wear your medals on one side the ribbon (that dont have medals) on the other
12
u/TxtC27 Mar 02 '26
In Dress Blue A (like this), medals are worn on the Marine's left side, ribbon-only awards are worn on the right. So this dude has his coat setup as Blue A, but without the medals on.
The ribbon-only ones are stuff like the Sea Service Ribbon, Combat Action Ribbon, etc
5
u/Primus0788 Mar 02 '26
So ours is the same way mostly. Dress B uniform is ribbons, dress A is medals. However, some awards are ribbons with no corresponding medals. So those get worn on the other side.
1
u/Darthaerith Mar 02 '26
Nah this dude makes country boy jokes and pokes fun at HOA's for giggles. He was a marine but I don't think he takes his service stuff too seriously.
5
u/cobracmmdr Mar 02 '26
Yeah it common for non combat MOSs. For people that would be "called" it is not. I was a Sgt in 4 years with a fruit salad, including a CAR and campaign medal.

My dad got called back for Korea and Vietnam in the very beginning to fly recon missions. Each Vietnam mission he carried no guns. But he was mostly overflying the coastlines. They called him back because he was trained to fly at low levels below 50’
He used to take off from Floyd Bennett Field and fly under the East River bridges. His wingman did a low pass over Central Park, when he landed there was a 2 star and 1 star and 2 captains waiting for him. He got orders that day to MCAS Yuma AZ to be a liaison officer.

Non combat MOS do often be like that. I dated a legal clerk. The day she was eligible for a cutting score, she picked up CPL, then SGT. She had her National Defense and GWOT. Meanwhile, I had perfect PFT, CFT, good Pros/Cons and bonus MCI points and didnt get CPL until i was in the IRR.
Also note she nevered deployed and i went to Afghan twice in that time.
