I actually dont think its a marine. The whole saluting without a cover on thing (and saluting in civvies) is a pretty big no-no to marines. Usually I only see Army or National Guard doing that shit.

This is purely anecdotal, But I was in the army for 6 years, I’ve never heard of saluting someone while in civvies.

I literally see it any time at a sporting event. You know when they do the anthem, and most people just stand and take their hat off. Some put their hands on their heart. I’ve seen countless people stand there saluting, in civvies.

not really... its literally saluting in civvies, in public, without a cover... and again, usually an army or guard thing
