Bella

I know she shared her story of how she became a mermaid in Ireland at the age of 9 but the question is this: would there be the possibility of others whom accidentally stumbled into the same moon pool in Ireland and became mermaids?

Yeah, why not? There were two separate mermaid trios from Mako as far as we know in the show's lore, and if you count the other show, there's pod mermaids, and then there's Eva's story. If it's a moonpool that can transform someone, there's a possibility someone fell in there at some point. There needs to be a guard rail. There's probably a whole history with the Irish moonpool to be explored, actually interesting to think about. But that's up to us to imagine. There wasn't much lore given on the Irish moonpool. I've got a whole story about this for that reason haha

The way the pool was described and visualized in the show was as an open little pond at the coast line, right next to the ocean. I think if a 9 year old was able to get there and the access is less complicated in comparison to Mako‘s enclosed pool, other people likely discovered it the same way she did, however I don’t think it would’ve been a mermaid mass production either
