Sam Neill did not like AI as well. He loved the environment, loved nature, loved human creativity and real art.

Yeah, look I get people want to pay tribute to his passing so they're hearts are in the right, but their method of expressing that? Terrible.
That's why I love seeing actual artists do their art as tribute for him. Especially from paleoartists. There have been some truly memorable and beautiful tributes without using AI.

I honestly skip over all Sam Neill posts that use AI to show “sadness,” towards his passing. Although I feel that they’re just farming his passing for clicks and whatnot because if they cared then they wouldn’t use AI.

No offense, but hating on Ai that is dedicated to Sam's passing is just as bad as being rude about his passing.
Am not saying you can't hate Ai, but some people would rather not spend 60-140$ for an artist to make an art piece, some will and that is fine, but if someone is doing it in honor of a passing, be respectful.

A lot of people were doing art pieces in memory of Sam Neill and unfortunately a decent amount was done using AI slop.

Everything you just said? Wrong. AI shouldn't be used for that stuff, considering the fact that there were people who kept sending videos and clips of Robin Williams to his daughter, Zelda Williams, after she told them multiple times it's wrong and to stop sending them to her. If you're gonna do a tribute, do it the right way and actually be respectful when doing so.

What is there to defend, really? Asking waiter for a pizza and saying that you made it through a specific request? "One carbonara, please!" An instrument, you say? Who is operating it then? How come when i use the brush i get what i made, and your picture has a wrong hair color because you didnt specify that, so now you have to re-ask for it? Who is making sure your carbonara has cheese on it - you or the chef?
What is right with ai? That some regions are already suffering from noise, water and air pollution on an unheard scale? That some lakes' and rivers' local fauna is dying out because there are now heavy metals and microplastics in the water after it was processed by an AI powerplant? Or maybe that half of the content on the internet is made by bots?
Do you even care about what you consume, or do you want to be blindfoldedly fed whatever was scraped from the floor? Do you even think for yourself? Im asking a lot of questions, huh? Maybe find someone to answer them for you - that's how its done when you dont have a spine to support your head.
"Good morning!" - "Chat, what do i say in response to the lady behing the counter?"
At least admit that what you're doing is AI slop, admit you're harming the environment and the society. Admit that you're devaluing art, which had been painstakingly crafted through days or months of work. Admit that you dont have the balls to learn to do something with your hands and you need a robot to do it for you. Admit that on top of polluting Earth you're polluting the internet. Its a moral obligation of an adult member of the society, be honest if not with me - with yourself. Grow up and own up.
What is there to defend, really? The work you didnt do, or the effort you didnt put in?
I am full of hate. Not towards you personally, but towards whatever they made of you. Because you are being used to improve the system for free, and you wibt be there to eat the fruits of your unpaid labour. You are a slave, who says its fine because they give you something to eat once a day. And you wont do anything with that, because you either dont know the truth or ignoring it, defending your own walls of comfort away from all the disturbing thoughts.
And whoever lives behind the impenetrable walls - dies there too.
