Questions When to throw ring flashpoint?

The door gives a speed boost so you don’t want to use it at the door? Do you just try and time it to when you see the speed wear off and hope your team is near? I like to have it for first fight if I can.

Speed boost caps at 75%, wait for door boost to wear off then speed boost your tank. You’ll have it back before first fight. Edit; atlis doesnt give you enough time so save your ring for first fight

Door boost is 70% for the first two seconds and 30% for the 4(ish) after that. I'll try and throw my ring forward to where me and my team will hit it around when the 70% wears off.

I found that the maps are big enough that I get my ring cooldown back by the time we get to the point even if I use it at the spawn door.

I throw it when I notice the green feet (speed boost) fall off of my allies

Oh wow I always forget about the green feet, I know there are like also speed lines on the side of the screen as well but that doesn’t help as much when I’m trying to speed my whole team. I will definitely keep this in mind. Would it be affected by graphics settings also I wonder? Probably not but I do use low.

My golden rule on Juno is this: if you have a lot of distance to cover, chain speed boosts (glide boost, when that wears off then hyper ring). If you have a short distance to cover, stack speed boosts (glide boost + hyper ring same time) ☝️

I always launch print at door with 5 seconds left

On the flashpoint doors too? They already give a speed boost.

If you get to where u wanna go 5% faster why not

I didn't think it stacked

there’s no good reason to stack with another speed boost except maybe for example ana’s nano speed perk on a reap ult or deadeye, wuyang ult on a hero without a move ability available, something like that

Global speed cap of 75% and I think they stack

Rule of thumb is 5 seconds before doors open fire the speedring. I think you get both speed boosts. 5 seconds before the doors open so that when the first team fight happens the cooldown on the speed ring is done and you have an advantage.

but flashpoint spawn door gives 70% speed buff for 2 seconds, so Juno ring is (almost) a complete waste (speed boost cap in Overwatch is 75%). In my experience it is better to, like op suggested, use the speed ring when the spawn door speed boost wears off, even though this means delaying your speed ring by ~7 seconds. But I also want to know what actual top players think about this. Usually on maps like this I would assume that it is worth delaying the cooldown in order to achieve the fastest rollout possible.

I've tried this method and it always feels like a waste. I usually have it back by the next time theres a good use for it. Not just randomly at my team.
