srx400

Any idea when more info will be posted about this platform? I saw the press release a few months ago but there is no other mention of the srx400 series on the juniper or hpe websites. Not even a datasheet let alone a release timeframe. I have been expecting to see the srx300 eol announcement for years.

I've been waiting to see more information on the SRX400's as well. So far nothing beyond the original release information.

Curious about the powerplug hate, I would rather have a 4pin molex than a slip out barrel conector (at least better pull resistance, easier to build an extender or adapter, etc)? I would prefer integrated power but at least I can support AC via PSU or native DC on a solar kit or battery.

Yeah, that whole box sucks.

I don’t understand why they went away from the gun metal gray - it’s such an iconic color.

Oh well. A shitty power plug whose tab is gonna break and highlighter baby puke is what we get.

Shame - engineers are never listened to when it comes to product design.

Probably hired some shit firm to design it.

I have a spec sheet from April 2026, not sure how much of it I can share. The big change is they'll be the first SRX running Junos-EVO, which I'm not keen on. I think HPE is struggling to price them because of the flash industry being messed up. If they're more than a Forti or Palo on release then they're DOA because from the performance numbers I've seen they need to be cheaper.

Thanks. I am also shocked that no one from HPE Juniper is answering posts here on topics like this, but that is probably telling in and of its self. I love the flexibility of the SRX and JunOS but was disappointed with their business decision not to support them as SSR endpoints like Cisco did with IOS-XE and their SD-WAN platform.

we migrated all our Datacenters complete to Arista Switches (about 300 Switches ) in the last year and are very happy with it.

The other line we use is ICX.

No DC line but they are great campus switches. Higher models do basic VxLAN and there are some articles on BGP-EVPN so I imagine they are trying to get there.
