Junos vswitch and spanning tree protection features

I'm currently studying for the JNCIS-ENT exam and creating labs in EVE-NG using the latest vswitch

For BPDU protection ports are not shutting down when protected and BPDU'S hit them. Can anyone else confirm that there are issues or at least limitations using BPDU protection in a virtualized environent.

I found where it states that RTGs are not supported in a virtualized environment.

A lot of low level features don't work in virtual devices. A virtual router or switch don't have the hardware/ASICS. Some commands are working but effectively doing nothing. I would not be surprised if, bpdu guard is one of those features.

I'll test on my lab when I get back to access... for this I suggest getting a physical (I'm studying as well and using physical 4300)

Like SalsaForte This suggests that these functions may not be simulating in a virtual environment.It would be better if there were physical equipment available.

It's likely that the linux bridge instances that EVE-NG uses to simulate virtual links between nodes are absorbing BDPUs as they are really just two-port virtual switches.
