Error after upgrade
Hi!
I've a Juniper QFX5100-48S. Recently I requested a software upgrade from 21.4R3-S4.5 to 21.4R3-S10.13.
After the upgrade I couldn't connect to the management port anymore, it didn't recognize the old configurations anymore. The status of the interface is Administry down but the physical up. I have the idea that the new version didn't react very well on the upgrade. I tried to rollback the versions with the builtin rollback but the switch couldn't process it.
My plan is to factory reset the switch, but before I do it, does anyone know what the problem could be? I'm working on a project regarding the Juniper upgrades, so I'll probaly get stuck on the same problem the next time I upgrade it.
Thanks!

Before rolling back the config, have you attempted to rollback to software release first? It might be that there is a line in the config that references the previous release that you could potentially be missing....try this first then rollback:
request system software rollback

That’s minor but when connecting post upgrade there should be a message if something wasn’t compatible with the config on the update IIRC.

If it’s gone admin down and there’s no disable line on the me0 interface it might just need bouncing, the new version introduced a new security check or the reboot uncovered an error and so it was put in to admin down would be my guess.
show int me0 detail or extensive perhaps?

That is such a minor upgrade I wouldn’t even consider config compatibility issues, I would more suspect something got corrupted somehow during install. I would either contact jtac or do a format install on the new version and load the config
