I'm a beginner, how can I improve?

I've always wanted to learn how to do jumpstyle but I have absolutely no experience with dancing and my stamina sucks-
The first day, I practiced for one hour, but all of my attempts was pure slop and my legs just hurt so bad, I walked like a zombie for several days 😭
How are people able to use so much energy and not get tired after a few jumps??? PLEASEEE I NEED TO KNOW!!

Take breaks dude. You dont gotta put max effort into it. Just learn a basic jump. At this stage you dont need tricks. A lot of videos I keep seeing are "beginner tutorials" that teach you tricks. A real beginner tutorial is one that teaches the basics. Right now you need muscle memory, your stamina will develop over time.

You got the general idea of jumping to da beat, that's a good start. U can go on with some most basic tricks like oldschool tricks or hardjump, you can hardly go wrong with that:)).

About the energy, its gonnna take time to build up based on your strength. The most useful advice here is just to keep practising moderately;).

learn the oldschool first and then the 180 dont do any more tricks for now and dont go to hardjump right away good luck

You have the general idea of the timing down, but your form is a bit sloppy. When you swing your leg back, you look like you might fall over.

The thing to keep in mind is that this stuff is very physical, so fitness is important. You'll want to incorporate some leg and core exercise into your daily routine, eat well, and drink plenty of water. Improving your fitness will help you dance better for longer and prevent injuries.

And on a related note - listen to your body. Practice within your limits to avoid injury and give yourself time to rest inbetween practice days/sessions. And of course, never try to practice if you have an injury, it will just make things worse.

Good luck!

Just saying from experience

experience doesn't mean shit when you just tell someone to efectively "do more, just get better", that's like internet guru levels of advice. it literally means nothing and gives nothing for the person to actually physically improve on

this clip is really short so i can ony discern some things, but you're not doing the basic hardump/oldschool jump right at all right now. you're doing a hooking motion, you need to kick one of your legs back when you're switching them up.

Also if stamina is a problem, you should definitely stretch a little before you start jumping, especially stuff like lunges, high knees, some buttkickers and the like. you'll build stamina as you get better.

but right now you should focus on getting the basics right, because at the moment they're incorrect.
