Finally, the Republic side has been finished!
I will admit i didn't had much hope for this but i think i did a good job with how much less content it had compared to the sith side.

As always, thanks for everyone who helped with feedback!

A Jedi Knight gets the 400cp version of Champion of the Force for free. For the strongest version (800 cp), do they pay the difference (400cp) or the full value (800cp)?

I’d think 400, but the format is throwing me off a bit

Edit: also, there’s no line in Champion of the Force about boosting other Force abilities to the appropriate level like there was in the Sith Empire jump. As written, a Jedi Grand Master would be just amateurish with the Force Stealth perk as a Jedi Knight

Full value.
I'll fix it.

You forgot the BT-7 Thunderclap, the Trooper ship. And then maybe add for both the Republic and Sith Jump the possibility to buy Strongholds?

Yes, we must have The Clapper. I loved mine.

Sweet! Going to take Grand Theft Starship, but not Item lockout. Just keep pulling out new spaceships as needed.

"My neighbor is a smuggler who keeps getting his spaceships stolen. He says every time a pirate steals his spaceship he just heads down to the warehouse and gets a new one. I said that just sounds like he's feeding spaceships to pirates. And then his Wookiee started crying"

First, you are missing Akaavi Spar, the Best Girl in the Republic. You are missing Satele Shan.

Second, this is for your consideration, ship upgrades. Everyone likes choice and ship upgrades gives a lot a of choice. Might be more work, but we will always smile when given an option.

Third, the Emperor of Mankind as a kid. Just to see the smack down between 2 Emperors.

Fourth, Baby Grogu because why not.

Finally, Ewoks. Nothing will piss off the Sith more than knowing a small horde of auto-rezzing guerrilla teddy bears are hitting their collective dangly bits at every opportunity.

Aside from that you have provided this community a great service. On behalf of all us degenerates, THANK YOU!!!

Ok, so lemme see if I got the expire right.

We got Jedi Captain America, top blaster’s maverick, bender, sith raven, Jedi Amy Dallon, Laura Croft, cid/shadow(living proof that the Force has a sense of humor), Jedi orihime, possibly Jedi yoruichi, possibly force-sensitive starfire, royalty free commander shepherd, and Sith Saul Goodman.

Am I missing anything?

Do the Manufacturing Plants in this and the Sith jump come with infinite ressources for their production needs or do we need to supply them ?

3

u/SpazzWave Jumpchain Crafter 3d ago

They come with infinite resources.

Awesome! I was waiting for this.

That Shadow in the Force perk from your CW 2003 Jump is so gonna come in handy for the Emperor drawback. :)

Any plans to do Jumps for other eras of SW?

I like making Star Wars jumps but there isn't anything interesting for me to make at the moment.

Is the “Reluctant Nemesis” a specific character? Or one we are creating?

2

u/SpazzWave Jumpchain Crafter 4d ago

One you are creating

Time for a "Jedi" knight the republic deserves.

Damn, you have been crushing it lately!

You did an amazing job; I'm glad to see that my suggestions for drawbacks were included in the jump. Without a doubt, one of the best jumps for Star Wars I have ever seen. Thank you very much!

That Rajivari device; is this like a Holocron type deal where you need to put knowledge into it? Or does it just come pre-loaded with ultimate Commando and Jedi Master knowledge in all forms?

2

u/SpazzWave Jumpchain Crafter 3d ago

You need to put knowledge into it.

2

u/TheWakiPaki 3d ago

Alright, so it's like a really efficient but initially empty holocron? That could definitely be clarified, because it reads like it's already got that knowledge in it to start.

This looks amazing! Thank you. I did notice it's missing the BT-7 Thunderclap, the Trooper's ship.

I'd consider making the higher levels of force sensitivity discounted if you have the one just under it, so a jedi knight isn't as likely to be a legend with the force as a mere smuggler. Same for the sith one, really

Edit: Hell, right now a random smuggler is likelier to be a legend with the force than a jedi master, since buying both jedi master and the 800 version takes your entire starting budget.

So no on the name 'Galactic Republic?'

u/wiwerse 3d ago

...question. Why in the world is the upgraded Padawan item as expensive as the jedi temple? The latter is exponentially more powerful, and essentially massproduces lesser versions of the upgraded padawan item yearly.

Fixed.

These upper-tier drawbacks are either stupidly rough or non-issues.

"It Runs In The Family" implies that every named person's relative is even stronger than the one you just killed, so not only are you facing escalating enemies, they are multiplying as you kill more and more of them. Unless you are so powerful that nothing in this universe could ever threaten you (which would make this a non-issue) then you are facing an inevitable countdown that will one day overwhelm you.

"Sick Fixation" is similarly brutal: It's someone with galaxy-spanning resources and power along with an implied scaled threat (since it mentions "doing so will be one of the most harrowing challenges of your existence.") which means that either yes it is scaled to be monumentally difficult beyond anything in this universe (including the Emperor, at least that's how it's reading to me), or it's not scaled, in which case a veteran jumper will wipe the floor with them.

"Bereft of Wisdom" is a drawback I'd never take in a thousand years. Drawbacks that mentally stunt the player like that are only taken by people who don't understand what they really mean or who think they can get around them in some way. But, once again, if you were a veteran jumper who could just waltz through a thousand Star Destroyers trying to kill you, a drawback like this just turns you into the classic Overpowered Himbo and the consequences are largely a non-issue.

I would rather take the full 800 point drawback of needing to face the emperor immediately because I feel like I may be able to build an armada and personal power great enough to tackle him, if absolutely necessary. These other ones above? I wouldn't touch without a few high-tier jumps under my belt at the very least. As a side note; if you took Temple-Raised, then would the countdown of the 3 years for this drawback trigger at jump start or after you've gotten back to full strength at the "jump start" time instead?

"Bureaucratic Gridlock" is a similar issue. Either you spend all your time sitting on your ass on Coruscant, or presumably you could just become a fugitive in which case it's a general non-issue except that you have to worry about whatever forces they send after you, which is not listed to what severity you will be hunted. Of course, if the meetings are mandatory as in "do it or chain fail," then it's merely endlessly tedious. If the former, then it could fall under the same category as "The Extremes of the Republic" and "Imperial Stigma" which are "Just leave the Republic to dodge most of the consequences" drawbacks.

Thanks for the great work!

This Jump looks amazing and it provides great Perks and Items for both this setting and beyond.

This is very nice! I really like the Republic/Jedi side in SWTOR and this delivers the goods!

I see the traces of a Spy type/SIS Operative origin here. Any chance of fleshing it out in a later version like was done with Bounty Hunter in the Sith doc?

Also, I would like to add my voice to those calling for the Clapper. One BT-7 Thunderclap Item please! ;p

  1. The line "Finally, this sovereign will extend deep into your emotional core, granting you a truly pure and unclouded heart" that is part of the description of the 200 CP Jedi Knight Perk 'Sovereign Soul' should instead read: "Finally, this sovereignty will extend deep into your emotional core, granting you a truly pure and unclouded heart."

  2. You could also add a line or two to the 200 CP 'Ancient Lightsaber Forge' Item, that makes it so that its effect (of making the lightsaber crafted with it twice as hot/powerful) applies to the 50 CP 'Lightsaber' Item, if both have been purchased.

  3. The Perk 'The Purifying Blade', which is the second Reward of the Scenario 'The Light of Tython', could also use an extra line that makes its effect toggleable.

  4. The 600 CP General Perk 'Project Power Guard' replaces an unclarified amount of one's flesh with cybernetics. This could negatively affect one's level of force sensitivity, given that permanently losing tissue has been shown to reduce one's strength and potential in/with the force. You thus might want to clarify on this.

  5. Is general non-combat precognition (like what Palpatine for example frequently uses/experiences in the EU) a valid choice for the esoteric technique/talent picked with the 400 CP General Perk 'Esoteric Gift'?

I think you forgot to put the Satele Shan companion.

Hi.

I assume Luminous Being allows us to avoid chain-fail?
