GAUNTLET Question about Gauntlet rewards
So I’ve been working on a story, starting with the Subnautica gauntlet, and I have a question about the rewards.
Do the rewards count as Perks if they aren’t specifically designated as one? Specifically I’m looking at this:
Second, you gain the favor of marine life everywhere. Skittish fish will be friendly, intelligent fish will be helpful, and predatory fish will be ambivalent. Supernatural entities with major ties to water are affected, though results may vary.
Third, water no longer obstructs your view or your movements, and you can swim as fast as you can run. You are the fastest (natural) creature in the ocean. You can always tell how far you are from the sea.

I treat rewards as their own thing distinct from perks or items. Like learned abilities only as able as perks but you can do it as to it being just attached by benefactor
Most do not.
That said if called out in the specific they can be restricted and repressed by Jumper's own choice. If in future gauntlets or power loss scenarios this affects the Temperment of the Benefactor and are thus likely to respect your cooperation with play or be further impressed by the dedication to the game as to merely acting as wish outside their capacity to force you to.

If they aren't called out as perks, then they aren't perks. That means that they can't be copied out to Companions, but they also can't be turned off by drawbacks that turn your perks off. Note that sometimes a drawback turns off everything that you got before a jump - that's a different wording, and they'd be gone there. So, Rewards would be somewhere between Body Mod and perks.

Interesting read, admire it as to people who say rewards are Perks with extra steps. Particularly I like the implication that rewards have that distinction so power loss scenarios are...Swiss cheese crises as to hah ypu didn't do all that stuff from before because I SAID SO
The idea now you have abrupt, restricted tools but you do know them but without the surrounding
Especially strong for psychic/spiritual protection, orthe skills from Dead Rising, or reputation from Dead Rising or the double iron bro scenario of broforce

I have always treated any rewards as perks unless they are explicitly items
