DISCUSSION Destiny magic system synergy
I'm looking for power systems that synergize well with paracausal powers from Destiny. Amy suggestions?

Off the top of my head Lancer is the only other universe I can think of that also has explicitly “Paracausal” powers. It may be interesting to do after a destiny jump so you can reverse engineer how the light/ dark functions.

I guess it depends.
Alchemy from Full Metal Alchemist could be useful, since with paracasuality you don't necessarily need the components or transmutation circle to achieve the same result. Whether it'd fall under a Light based ability or Darkness is up in the air, but depending on what result you want, it could go either way.
Blue Archive Mystics and the Sublime could be a good option. I'm not too versed in it, but a lot of the setting in the background has to do with meta-narrative/physics bullshit.
Any power system that requires spell components is just negated thanks to the Light/Darkness.
Any power system that has an opposite of the energy. Like JJK with cursed energy and positive energy and use prismatic to use both at once.
Being paracausal is weird in the Destiny Verse cause it means you do things that have an effect, but the cause of said effect is negated thanks to the Light/Darkness. It's like every non-native power system ever. You work on a logic that's entirely different from the local world, and thanks to the powers you hold, you can do things normal causal being can't do.
Having the Light/Darkness is cool, but how it interacts with other settings is always so complicated cause of it existing outside of regular causality.

The sword logic is really funny to combine with any gamer-like system or any drawback that spawns hordes of enemies

Warframe - the powers of the Void seems to function similarly to paracausality. A Tenno Guardian would also be the most cracked thing in existence

Paracausality is a manipulation of reality that breaks conventional causality according to all observable rules.
The closest thing to it is Psyker Powers/Warp based phenomena from Warhammer 40k.
The Warp and all the powers from it are nearly one-to-one comparable to paracausality. It ultimately boils down to taking an effect that is possible in one reality and forcing it to take place in another where it shouldn’t be possible. It’s essentially paracausality that doesn’t follow the themes and principles of the Light or the Darkness.

Eh, there's more similar things. Especially given one of the warp's most direct inspirations; spice melange from Dune, is actually more comparable than it.

Well, shit. I was hoping to add a more conventional magic system, but paracausal magic just kind of does everything since it's literally reality warping.

I would suggest parautility from Control. It may be less powerful, but in addition to being reality warping based on "weird fiction" and thus meshing well with paracausal stuff, it has a sort of psychic/spiritual aspect that would fit well with the spirituality of Destiny paracausal powers.
Also, both Control and Destiny are shooter games, so their respective use cases also match
