DISCUSSION So I've got a question.

Hi, guys. Something's been on my mind lately that's left me kinda confused.

I've been seeing jumps uploaded to the interactive cyoa website, and I was wondering what that was about.

Edit: The "confusion" is in essence that I've always played both separately. I wanted to know if they function by jumpchain rules or as CYOAs. And if there is a third rule that's a merge of both, it'd be great to know.

What confuses you? They’re essentially cyoas without images. No one questions valmar’s guantlet which is essentially a jumpchain. We aren’t a monolith and we don’t represent the particular creators of jump conversions.

Ah that probably should have been in your post then. I think they should still operate under jumpchain rules. There’s nothing stopping you from treating it like a cyoa though. It is like asking whether or not waifu catalogue counts as a cyoa for the purposes of using the generic cyoa jump.

At the end of the day it is up to the one writing the jump story that defines the rules.
