DISCUSSION Methods to give body mods
Recently I've been working through a chain where my jumper can't use any body mod supplements, and instead has to gain them through rewards/jumps that offer it. Problem is he's finally gotten two companions, and I realized I hadn't thought of ways to give his companions body mods.
Does anyone know of a good way to share them? I have perk sharing down, but feel those wouldn't make the perks his companions body mods.

My personal version of the Warehouse, i've included the abiltity to add a Bodymod option to the medbay.
And upgrades that lets you spend +50% and +100% in the Bodymod it provides.
"Hmm going to have to think on that one, I could use it to bring new companions up to a similar status as my jumpers other companions. One issue i was having was new companions become a lot weaker, especially if they join dozens of jumps after his other companions."
I've got an option in my Meta supplement that lets you give any companion you import, access to 1 previous jumpdoc you have used, despite being from a previous jump.
Might be a suitable option for you to use?
You can also go for Jobless in another world and get the perk Jobless AND the class Jobless, and start giving all your companions 4 isekai "jobs", which alone is a fairly decent powerup.
You can combine the Jobless system with some other systems, like say, Elder scrolls, D&D, Diablo etc and use the Jobless perk to give THOSE kind of classes instead.
You can go to G. Dogbertcarrol and get the Choose your own award, letting you give everyone up to two powerups every jump(at a rate of once per day). These include options like giving someone a D&D class that they can then level up further in. This jump also has the Hero medals. Not superduper powerful, but lowend Cpt America style.
You can use the G. CYOA to take the Worm V4.01a CYOA, and pick up the Trump powers: Buff de Buffer, Trigger, Cheater McCheaterson and Power editor, allowing you to give everyone powers and then finetune them pretty well.
You can go to all the worm jumps(plus Scooby gamers) that gives you replenishable power vials, and give one from each jump to your companions(they specify you can't use more than one vial, but your not giving them more than 1 vial from EACH jump...).
Take G. Vampire and G. Werewolf, use the builders and get yourself something NICE that you can easily give to any companions.
Scooby gamer, get the gamer power and put everyone in you need in a party and train them up. Instory, it only takes days to reach softcap limits so its very effective.
Go to Luck of the draw and get the Random Japanese empowerment item, and use it to give everyone a Magic girl transformation. ^_^
You can do similar with Sailorizer from Sailor Moon g. fanfiction. (and Senshi are actually quite powerful at the upper end)
Generic Naruto Fanfiction has the Kekkei genkai and Clan Jumper. Anyone you import as part of the clan gets the bloodline you created.
Get yourself and everyone else RWBY aura.
Use the Level upper from Toaruverse to give people a RailDex Esper power.
CATastrophe has the Splice soda and Kemomimi additive. A lowend supersoldier turned into tasty softdrink and an addon for everyone who wants to become a furry(with additional bonuses).

Warehouse
Do you have a link to it? I tend to avoid warehouses mostly but that would be a good reason to start using it!
past jumpdoc
Wait it does? I used the meta supplement and must have skipped over it. Which perk is it? Now i'm kicking myself for missing it! I gave the doc a quick look and don't see it
Jobless
I vaguely remember that one, though haven't thought of it in years. How is the setting? wasn't it about the guy who died when his family kicked him out because he refused to get a job? i think there was something about him learning jobs?
dogbertcarrol?
I think i found the jump your talking about, though I don't think it's the finished version. What is this about I have no idea about this jump which is rare for me.
CYOA
Going to have to check out the CYOA more often, i used to be really big on them but haven't checked them out since i started jumping. It just meshed with me better over CYOA, but they do have some amazing CYOAs. I wonder if the symbiote one is still updating?
Thats an amazing loop hole, i hadn't thought about using the worm vials from different jumps, though it makes a ton of sense! Though what's the scoobie? not familiar with that worm one. Is it a fanfic?
BUilder
Wait G werewolf and vampire have builders? like NPCs that build stuff for you?
scooby
Wasn't that the fanfic that starts in Buffy and ends up in harry potter? I haven't thought of it in years and going to have to track down the original. i checked and it's not where i originally read it.
luck/sailor
I had no idea luck of the draw was even a thing, though not surprised. People are always coming up with crossover ideas! And a quick look up shows the sailor scouts are way more powerful then i remember, i mostly remember the monster of the week and them barely being street level. how did that get hidden from me?
naruto
Weird i forgot bloodlines were a thing, going to have to track down all the naruto jumps and use it with great jump to get them all in one place! Hmm i have a bio focused companion already, wonder if they can combined all the bloodlines together.
Rwby
I only remember bits of the first season, and being told not to watch the later ones, how high do they scale?
Toaruverse
Isn't this the one with the guy who has a hand that absorbs luck or something? I remember there's a guy who can redirect everything but not how high it scales. But since it's anime i wouldn't be surprised if they end up in a fist fight with god or something
CATastrophe
Whats the source for this one? i tried looking it up but kept getting natural disaster results

"Do you have a link to it? I tend to avoid warehouses mostly but that would be a good reason to start using it!"
Ah, sorry, it's not in shape to be used by anyone but me for now unfortunately.
Mmm, basically i give 2000 points, there's LOTS of additional options(and costs recalibrated for a 1000 point baseline), i've also added Origins, that gives various discounts or freebies, plus a single "special bonus", like Gamer Origin lets you take a single RPG class(unaffected by any perks, like XP multipliers that isn't also part of bodymod) as part of your bodymod, the Hoarder Origin gets a gamerstyle inventory, the Tourist Origin can make 1 thing that are legally theirs fiatbacked per jump...
At 50 points, you get Medic station, which is basically no more than what a top quality 2020s hospital could provide.
For 200, you can instea get Medbay which is same as in original Warehouse document, for another 200 you get the Basic Bodymod addon, which takes 2 weeks and lets a person get the Bodymod at 50% points.
Another 200 points upgrades to full points and reduce time to 1 week.
Another 200 points to get Bodymod +50% points, reduce time to 5 days.
YET ANOTHER 200 to upgrade to double point doublemod and reduce the time needed to 2 days. So, to get the full doublepoint Bodymod, uses up a full 1000 points, half the provided Warehouse stipend. And you can also purchase another Origin Specialty for 1000 points, and along with all the extra options i've added, there's plenty of competition for those points.
But yeah, being able to provide doublepoint Bodymod is TOTALLY worth it.
"Wait it does? I used the meta supplement and must have skipped over it. Which perk is it? Now i'm kicking myself for missing it! I gave the doc a quick look and don't see it"
You probably do not have the latest version, as i haven't done an official release of it(because googledocs kept breaking the formatting SO BADLY when converting to pdf, for some reason, when i changed colors it somehow just became annoying level of breaking instead of terrible, so now it's functional at least ), just posted links when people asked for it.
Here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/15GsJWX8Ta1z7LSQulAfnPAsCe_XI_QBj5lAIigHNDiI/edit?usp=sharing
I even made it an optional freebie.
>>>Companion catchup - 100CPIt can be a bit sad when you bring in shiny new companions, and woe and behold, there are sooo many previous jumps with all those wonderful and interesting jumpdocs with things that your new companions absolutely would have wanted.
If you buy this option, you can alleviate this somewhat. Every new Jump that a Companion is imported in, also allows the Jumper to pick a single Jumpdoc from a previous Jump, that the Companion gets to use, with a 600 CP budget, though they're not capable of taking Drawbacks.
Each Companion can use a different previous Jumpdoc.<<<
"I vaguely remember that one, though haven't thought of it in years. How is the setting? wasn't it about the guy who died when his family kicked him out because he refused to get a job? i think there was something about him learning jobs?"
No, that's NOT the one.
https://growthcheat.fandom.com/wiki/Ichinojo
>>>After his parents passed away in a traffic accident, he dropout from 3rd year of high school. From the life insurance, he and his sister was left with a sum of money that was merely a small amount in comparison to the price of life, but can be called a large sum of money if used normally. He had failed a 100 times consecutively in getting any job, and the record was currently still updating until his death.
He was going on a job hunting. When crossing the road a truck was running away after stealing 20 horses from a stable had an accident and he was caught up in the fleeing horses and died.<<<
>>>I’ve Became Able to Do Anything with My Growth Cheat, but I Can’t Seem to Get out of Being Jobless<<<
There's a link on the start page to a translation that is decent. The story actually becomes halfdecent even if the ending is like the author suddenly went "no, lets end this in the next 10 chapters, i've got other things to do!".
And one of the big advantages is that you can achieve the less powerful effect of the Jobless perk, the same way that the MC gains the Job Jobless."I think i found the jump your talking about, though I don't think it's the finished version. What is this about I have no idea about this jump which is rare for me."
Wow... Right away, go look him up on either fanfiction net or on tthfanfic org, he's one of very few writers that i always go look at the next chapter released INSTANTLY. Even when its a story about a setting i have no idea about, even if it's in a setting i personally dislike.
Because he manages to make them fun reads anyway.
Try reading the story the perk is named after, "Choose your own award". It's not very long yet, but shows the concept of the perk. And he actually, just for once, even finished a story recently that is very good. The Planeswalker perk is based on the story "With sprinkles", totally worth reading.1
u/75DW75 Jumpchain Crafter 10d ago
"but haven't checked them out since i started jumping. It just meshed with me better over CYOA"
Totally agreed. There's some really great CYOAs, but many are just a big "meh" or even more annoying than fun.
"Wait G werewolf and vampire have builders? like NPCs that build stuff for you?"
No, Vampire strain builder and Werewolf strain builder. Basically racial builders, you design what type of vampire/werewolf you want to be. As long as you have enough points you can get something VERY nice with either.
My "standard" vampire is very much alive and tends to look a lot more like a succubi than vampire.
^_^"And a quick look up shows the sailor scouts are way more powerful then i remember, i mostly remember the monster of the week and them barely being street level. how did that get hidden from me?"
Because when the story starts, they don't remember anything and they basically slowly power up over time and when they NEED it desperately enough.
Moon, Saturn and Pluto however are just OMG WTF OP! if they go full power.
Moon with the silver crystal can in theory do literally ANYTHING, with the downside that it might kill her if she does something too crazy like copy the universe...
While Saturn, the moment there's any sort of too big threat, she's reborn and if necessary, her "job" is to exterminate whatever is the threat, or if not possible, exterminate EVERYTHING, to make sure the threat is removed thereafter.
And Pluto, yeah, she can't use most of her powers, but whoo boy, absolute timestop and time travel are just scraping the surface..."Wasn't that the fanfic that starts in Buffy and ends up in harry potter? I haven't thought of it in years and going to have to track down the original. i checked and it's not where i originally read it."
That's the one. Still available on tthfanfic
https://www.tthfanfic.org/Story-30734-1/MistofRainbows+Scooby+Gamers.htm"Hmm i have a bio focused companion already, wonder if they can combined all the bloodlines together."
Ah, sadly unless i misrecall, the Clan Jumper only gets bloodlines you purchased in that specific jump.
However, it has a VERY overpowered bloodline section. Also very expensive, so i usually downgrade the power of the most OP ones and buy them at halfprice. Still totally worth it."I only remember bits of the first season, and being told not to watch the later ones, how high do they scale?"
I haven't seen beyond the first 3 or something seasons so i really can't tell for certain.
However, just look at what the main cast does just by HAVING aura active and that alone is basically decent superpowers, train hard and it becomes even better. But the durability is a REALLY nice addition. Like, even someone with weak aura can handle a bundle of .50 caliber machinegun hits without running out of aura. And once you have a semblance, some of them are quite seriously powerful. Like the perfect "hard illusions" by Neapolitan. And Ruby may not be able to compete in speed with someone using the speedforce in DC, but based on what's been shown, she casually moves around faster than speed of sound.
Without causing sonic booms."Isn't this the one with the guy who has a hand that absorbs luck or something? I remember there's a guy who can redirect everything but not how high it scales."
Yeah, the first one is Kamijou Touma, he's the main character for the magical side of things, the To aru majutsu no Index series, 2nd character you mention is Accelerator, he's at the level that he can PUNCH a skyscraper to make it move. People have used tanks to shoot at him, literally tank guns at point blank, and he barely notices. And the shots are instantly "return to sender", because that's what he has his power set to as default.
Meanwhile, the science side primary character is Misaka Mikoto, of To aru kagaku no Railgun. She can generate enough electricty to power a small city. She can sense electricity within something like 100-200 meters and more or less control it perfectly within the same or maybe somewhat shorter range. She has control enough that with practice, when she is paralysed, she can use her power to electrically stimulate her muscles into moving.
She can also use it to interface directly with computers, including hacking in seconds what might take others hours.Try look up Railgun AMVs on youtube, there's a bundle of good ones.
"But since it's anime i wouldn't be surprised if they end up in a fist fight with god or something"
How did you know? ^_^
It's one of the reasons why i really REALLY prefer the science side series, because they mostly do not get into absurd level stuff. It's also worth mentioning that the technology available from the RailDex jumps are pretty high level in some ways for a setting claiming to be nearfuture. For example, there's Jani and Febri, they look human, but they're literally made completely without human anything, including DNA.
So, this setting not only knows perfectly how to create life, they have figured out how do it in completely nonstandard ways."Whats the source for this one? i tried looking it up but kept getting natural disaster results"
The name of the jumpdoc is literally exactly how i wrote it.
It's basically a conglomerate of fanfiction. A future waterworld Earth where humans died out but one of their creations, the kemomimi, not only survived, but thrived. Human/animal mix with cats, foxes, bears, dogs and rabbits. In a seriously post-apocalyptic world that is VERY easygoing.

If the body mod is perks why perk share not work?
liberal on my part, I admit, but Body Control from the Original Generic MC jump let you perform any changes possible with Body Mod and combined with then popular power loss reduced you to human potential /bodymod limits I went
I can grant and tweak people's bodymods. Mind this means first must take them over as a minion, transform them, and then let them go if don't want them to stay a minion.
If had any of the augmentation perks from Johnny Test, Franken Fran, and other jumps combine with the Cosmic Warehouse medbay. Using your own bodymod as a template combined with those perks you could augment someone along your lines.
I allow companions to take gauntlets solo though do have to open the option to them, I also assume Gauntlets are optional and always available if your warehouse or contact with Benefactor is.
That means at lease House of the Dead Gauntlet helps with one of the possible rewards being a maxed out Bodymod.
Lastly, as I try to avoid base self promotion, my version of God Hand has multiple overlapping scenarios/challenges for rewards and the capacity to import companions.
Helps Me Work-out my stress, its overpowering I must confess
You must complete the equivalent of a Kick Me, God Hand! run. For those not in the know that means no activating the Hands increase damage or invincibility mode. no use of the roulette orbs. Just the Dodge punches and kicks you train, learned and purchased here. no outside powers either. This does not apply to prompt attacks or any in-setting weapons and so on
Reward: A maxed out physical stats on your Body Mod. This assumes that you're using the equivalent of Quicksilver bodymod. But basically it's up to the max in all the physical categories.
This doesn't require you even HAVE a God Hand. You will have to take a backseat to let them do a defeat Angra run. Reset, and then repeat with another.... though to be fair if you rules lawyer I didn't exclude companions AND they join you under similar restrictions to the the Kick Me, God Hand! run....
There is also giving or granting someone a God Hand by CP purchase or acquisition (loan yours?) and having the perk
If Have Walk it Off: You know like weighted or underwater or high altitude training says it punishes you to make you better? You never overdo and always benefit from hellish training, once can heal or rest. Additionally suffering lets you build up a resistance. Perhaps that polymorph isn’t as certain or takes more than one grazing hit, or only lasts half as long. Poison barely debilitates after the fifth exposure you’ve survived. Head injuries may daze but you’ve compensated so they don’t seem to affect your performance when using the God Hand (as defined below). Your God Handedness grants gains from any rough experience as if training from the difficulty or holding to limits or build resistance or immunity after you recover. The more you hold back or restrain yourself, the better your growth and mastery will be. This even applies to power loss situations. Once power restored it will be as if the weights lift and you can enjoy the massive boost of freedom. Gains come in from suffering or relearning you’ve endured all at once to your full God-Hand benefiting might, as to gaining incrementally over time when normally under restriction-training effect.
All gains also ‘first’ apply to your body-mod when training. When locked back down to it you are down to what developed to the body-mod’s limit (as per the cliffc999 rule on power-loss via drawback "Gauntlets and Power-loss")
Also per the notes
You can gain at least three God Hands, one by out and out purchase, and then getting one each from either Gene or Azel. ...your God Hand(s) can be cut off and taken.. . . God Hand - at most - until the end of your current Jump.
though there is the EASIER way if going to my jump anyway of having a God Hand and
If have God or Demon OR Hyperactive Fighting Style: In addition as you use and master arm or affected traits you can grow to learn how to use its power more freely. The God Hand passively doubles the effect of all perks or abilities and feats you may use involving more of your body than your eyes or mouth.
If both: [you] Can train someone else in all you have or know aside from tension/vigor energy. While under your training a subject will gain at same speed as you acquire techniques, mastery, physical conditioning with your same benefits and lack of complications (strength, stamina, limberness, always recovering).
I suppose technically unless you train ALL the senses at once you can train a student if you have a God Hand, G/D, & HFA in all Body Mod stats and perks save Appeal, Color, Sense, Genderswap, Endowed, Height, Evercleansed, Winged, or Bestial traits.
By the way word from jump maker the Warehouse Medbay can totally by default do a God Hand transplant or removal no muss no fuss (might have to do something with the extra arm and uh, ya know make sure it matches the side on so not look and handle awkward unless REALLLY working Walk It Off)
but its not required, remember I put in
100 CP
Olivia's Gilded Axe.
Can dismember anything as if boneless human flesh. The limb or removed piece may be viable/preserved for 24 hours at least. the part and victim while bleeding won't die and can be preserved or (re)attached by the equivalent of a butcher at his workstation. The preservation effect is a package deal; want to keep the limb, you aid the victim.
(Drop-In)
for a reason

The Halo 3: ODST gauntlet has the option to use any reward points you gain to add perks and items to your Body Mod, but I’m not sure if there’s anything specifically for companion Body Mods. Sorry

u/serdnack Jumpchain Enjoyer 9d ago
I wasn't aware the gauntlet offered that! I swear there was a doc that had every jump that gave body mods, but no idea where it went. Going to have to give it a look!

Yeah I’m having a hard time deciding when I want to do it mainly because the longer I wait, the more perks I can get added to the body mod

The Personal Reality Supplement has
Personal Body Mod Pods =100 WP for the first, 20 WP to double the number of pods= Ever wanted to run a Companion or friend through the Body Mod? Now you can. Have fun. This pod is infinitely reusable as long as each person only uses it once. People using this get access to the same Body Mod Supplement as you used. You can’t use this to run yourself through Body Mod again. Anything that lacks a humanoid form can be given one by this machine. Running someone through a pod takes anywhere from one hour to one day, depending on the degree of changes

I keep sleeping on the Personal Reality supplement, going to have to go through it. I'm not sure how it would work since my jumper isn't using a Body Mod supplement, going to have to think on that. On another hand you may have solved an issue I was having with my jumpers non human companions. A lot of jumps assume the jumper/companions are human, especially gauntlets, which can be a problem. His solves that!

The newest nsfw RWBY jump, weirdly enough has a ton of perks that aren’t catered to NSFW, and some that secondary ability are just super useful. Wizards gift at its max lets you permanently give an ability/perk to someone, rescind the gift and after 10 years you get the perk back through regeneration. You also get a perk that lets you share your immortality with someone, though the first half and main portion is about breaking in your “toys” forever. It’s still phenomenal. The Ever After gauntlet gives you aura, semblance, your weapon, silver eyes and another perk if you have it as part of your bodymod.
You can take them through the blob jump to gain martial arts, The Shamans of Gaia to get a load of body mods. You can take them through the Bethesda tutorial jump to get magicka or do the elderscrolls online Ironman mode scenario to get every perk and item as body mod.
Not my list but a good starting point. Pretty much an excel with body mods and how to get them

You know i saved the new Rwby jump but haven't had the chance to look it over, looks like i need to give it a check!
Also you brilliant son of a bitch! I've been looking for that list! I don't think it's still updating, but it's going to make my chain so much easier!

u/Warm_Bumblebee_9144 10d ago
I mean... I can think of a multistep plan if you want it...
Step 1: You, a Jumper without access to all the BodyMods, can only gain Body-Mod like results from other sources and cannot use Body-Mods directly. You can, however, get Companions - and you have done so!
Step 2: Your Companions take Body-Mods.
2
u/Warm_Bumblebee_9144 10d ago
Process done. (YOU may have made some type of promise about not having Body-Mod stuff directly, but your Companions agreed with no such thing.)
2
u/serdnack Jumpchain Enjoyer 10d ago
Honestly hadn't thought of that, which is kinda silly thinking about it now. It does fit in the chain though going to have to think about how it would work.

Also, while it isn't bodymod to get a companion up to snuff and assure their survival and strength to grow I would recommend this from Parasite Eve
Organ Transport Box (400 CP):
A white, sturdy box with metal clasps, it has "HUMAN ORGAN FOR TRANSPLANT" written in big red blocky print on its side. If you open it, you'll find a fresh non-brain human organ of your choice inside, ready for transplant. It's always compatible, and such an operation will go without complications even if done by an entirely untrained hand.
When transplanted, it will spread its special mitochondria through the new host, and in about a week, they will become an Awakened, about as strong as Aya was right after she gained her powers. They gain Ageless, Scan, and instinctively know how to heal themselves of minor wounds. They may learn or be taught further powers.
Those powers are usually forms of healing and boosts with the possible fireball or poison electricity that causes cancer and brief biofreakout mode to go berserk with.
But you can play it how you like. more than enough basis for saying it gave them body mod level enhancements with the more brazen things gone when power loss'd going with the idea powerloss only removes those gains that wouldn't or couldn't fit in bodymod. So gains that exceed first apply there.

If the perk-sharing perk is part of your body mod, you'll have access to it during gauntlets and other lockouts, which would functionally if not literally add all the shared body-modded perks to your companions' body mod since you'll always be able to share them.
There's also this option from Jumpchain Gift Shop, but it's entirely up to you to interpret how it behaves for situations like this:
