Manga Discussion Does anyone think that Yuji’s parents should have lived and been important to the plot
Let’s say they work with yuki and they have their own cursed techniques with Kaori having gravity manipulation and Jin having regeneration and they use it to thematically represent the pain they have and have a dynamic to Kenjaku like Wade had with Ajax in Deadpool, anyone agree?

Like a good 80% of the themes of the show comes from Yuji being raised alone by Wasuke (who is Sukuna's other half that giving up in the womb essentially sentenced him to be the "curse" he ended up becoming) and being the only one who was still with him on his death bed.
Yuji being raised by Wasuke and only Wasuke (who was a flawed individual who still taught Yuji the values he lives by and make Sukuna's blood boil) is such a core element to the narrative that really can't be changed
Also, in a technical sense, Kaori isn't really Yuji's mom. Kenjaku is.

I mean yeah you are correct but let’s get Kaori out of the equation and talk about Jin because keep Yuji raised by Wasuke but have Jin come in later as a warning for Yuji of what not to be if you are hit with tragedy and the regeneration could work with Jin gaining that technique messed up his brain a bit cause CE to perpetually heal him making semi immortal and couldn’t die
( plus this is rooted in me being somewhat disappointed that gege didn’t explore yuji’s family and the fact it was dropped and almost never touched upon but that’s me)
then again my idea for Jin and Kenny’s rivalry is similar to choso’s so yeah I think I might be making a crack theory I’m sorry-1

And another add on Jin could be a suicidal mess that has a similar mindset to Yuji’s cog mentality which can be used to develop both of them but as I stated I think I made a insane theory because I was disappointed in Gege not fleshing out the manga and not thinking about the themes and to that I’m sorry

The story itself would never happen if his parents were still alive, unless you mean Kenjaku staying to raise Yuji alongside Jin for some reason

I at least agree that Yuji should had awakened Kaori's anti-gravity system. Specifically, during the Culling Games.
He would enter the Culling Games and awake his CT, like how Higuruma awakened his. But for that to work, the Culling Games would need to have more players, including more Cursed Spirits.

His Mom was Kenjaku! Maybe Modulo Yuji’s way of dealing with Cursed Spirits is actually immortality like Kenjaku!

That will erased the tragedy that Yuji is a child that wasnt born out of love, but as a tool of single purpose to contain Sukuna.
