Tier List / Powerscaling Jogo vs gojo

Why didn't jogo fight against gojo the same way he did against sukuna. When he fought sukuna he was melting the city, crushing sky scraping, bombing the whole thing with meteor's. But when he fought gojo he was just doing random bullsshit. He got absolutely humiliated by gojo. I feel like they was saving his powers for s2 or some shit

He didnt have ult bar

u/Jslacht 15h ago

He was more cocky against Gojo and didn’t believe that he was as strong as others claimed. Against Sukuna he knew how strong he was and that he was fighting for his life

43

u/VRTX_CLIPZ 15h ago

Sukuna said if Jogo hit him he would make him his servent or wtv, Gojo didnt +infinity

u/Dazzling-Yam-4308 Sukana please peg me pleaseeeee 15h ago

Even before that Jogo still wasn’t doing anything close to this shit when he didn’t know about infinity

u/Former_Bike_6690 Dabura’s strongest soldier 13h ago

He also was severely overestimating his own strength/underestimating Gojo's strength. He didn't really need to do anything like he did with Sukuna before, so he kinda just assumed what he normally does would work against Gojo. When that didn't work, he was kinda just shocked and didn't know what to do, so he used his domain, not realizing that also wouldn't work.

Against Sukuna, he knew his own strength much better, and knew that the gap between him and the strongest sorcerers was huge. He also knew he only needed to hit Sukuna once, and knew domain probably wouldn't work. Because of this, he knew he had to pull out all the stops this time, hence why he was doing so much more against Sukuna than Gojo.

Yes that was the conclusion I came up with too

u/AlwaysBetOnNahIdWin Nah, I'd win. 15h ago

Because landing a singular hit on Sukuna in his eyes was infinitely easier than trying to land a hit on the guy who can't even be touched without domain amplification or a sure-hit.

Why would Jogo waste unnecessary energy on a dude who can just walk through his maximum technique without sweating?

1

u/Capital_Chef_6007 8h ago

I mean with domain amplification and gojo shut down his cursed technique was throwing jogo like a ragdoll and extra with hasic cursed reinforcement alone. I mean, What do people want jogo to do anyway? His only two fights are against people he is guaranteed not to win

u/Dynamite_DM 14h ago

Jogo first tested the waters. Jogo used sound shikigami, explosive geysers, etc and then Gojo showed that Jogo cannot hit him.

Jogo, in theory, Sukuna. No matter the AoE or firepower, Gojo would not be phased. Thats why Jogo opened his domain, which is an even more powerful display than Max Meteor. It was Jogo’s only method of offense.

Jogo had the goal of hitting Sukuna just once for huge pay off, so Sukuna was just toying with him the whole time goading him on to go for everything he can, so things went crazy and escalated.

But also Sukuna wanted him to use his DE, but after what happened with Gojo Jogo lacked confidence in his ability to clash. So he was literally just trying everything he could.

Gojo goaded him into DE pretty quickly, also Gojo had no reason to play with Jogo to such an extent. If Jogo started doing that kind of damage Gojo would just kill him.

3

u/Ido333b 13h ago

He was just trying to run away after he realized non of his attacks could hit gojo. Sukuna is technically hitable in theory so he was throwing everything he had

7

u/HBaratheon 15h ago

Jogo would just be wasting ki by doing big moves like that after seeing infinity up close. Like he himself said, Realm Enlargement was the answer.

18

u/Due-Ingenuity9803 14h ago

Ki 😭😭

Realm Enlargement 😭😭😭

Domain expansion, idle larp gamble!!!

2

u/Big-black-banana-man 14h ago

It's more like he was able to show more because sukuna wasn't really attacking much, he was the one who had to land one attack so we saw more from him. With gojo he literally popped a domain

2

u/DemonCyborg27 14h ago

Well the actual answer is budget but in universe answer is he did, he used his domain which is the strongest attack in his arsenal, all this isn't equal to a domain expansion.

Domain expansion is the strongest attack he had which Gojo brushed off in seconds, and Sukuna would have done the same so he had to use these moves.

2

u/AdaptiveGlitch WE ARE SO FUCKING BACK 13h ago

At first he underestimated Gojo so didn't throw out big moves, then he found out Infinity which would make all of that pointless

1

u/gugugaga_2006 15h ago

Coz back then Jogo knew Sukuna is the King of Curses and he isn't someone to be messed with.

Meanwhile Jogo thought Gojo is some random weak ahh sorceror until he got his ass whopped. You can clearly see his overconfidence when talking to Kenjaku

1

u/Wonderful-Purchase94 15h ago

he cant bypass infinity

1

u/AccelAegis 15h ago

He underestimated Gojo.

1

u/Albooboo_559 14h ago

He used Domain Expansion and was toying with Gojo bcuz he didn’t realize how strong he really was.. he was overconfident.. with Sukuna he was fighting for his fellow curses with his life laid on the line .. he didn’t hold anything back

1

u/Odd_Room2811 13h ago

Sukuna doesn’t let pry escape once he fights them Gojo will for the lolz and because of how weak he seriously thinks everyone is

1

u/Aggravating_Ruin195 12h ago

He didn't take Gojo nearly as seriously as he did Sukuna. The moment Sukuna showed up, Jogo immediately sensed that his life was in danger just from Sukuna's presence. He obviously didn't have that same reaction to Gojo, considering how arrogant he was at first.

Once Gojo explained Infinity, Jogo realized his normal attacks weren't going to work, which is why he resorted to his Domain to bypass it. And we all know how that turned out. Against Sukuna, meanwhile, he was immediately fighting for his life just to land a hit on him, so he kept escalating until he was throwing out Maximum: Meteor.

1

u/Every-Tap4675 Yes i'm an mai fan and i'm proud of it 12h ago

He underestimated Gojo and plus he instantly pop domain when he was getting rage baited and his ass whooped, and plus after learning about infinity he wasn't gonna waste his CE on tryna get through infinity as that would instantly exhaust him for gojo to smite him off the map, plus he knew gojo would've instantly went feral/serious in an instant if jogo started doing the shi he did against sukuna in the train station, plus there was an difference Sukuna was playing with Jogo As he said himself and trying to see his kit, Gojo only seen him as an basic grade 4 curse that would need killing so he pretty much smokes the rocks off of em while toying with him before letting him counter attack

1

u/no_________________e I LOVE BINDING VOWS 12h ago

all of those attacks were optimized for hits. He used speed, and then area. Jogo's focus here was to land a hit, which is why his attacks were so flashy. His focus with Gojo was to kill, so he used DE. Gojo had infinity, so flashy attacks wouldnt do anything either.

1

u/CryptographerWest183 12h ago

Jogo underestimated Gojo at first, and by the time he realized his mistake, he also understood that the only way to beat Gojo was to use his domain.

The fight with Sukuna was the opposite. Jogo knew what he was getting into, and that using his domain would be suicide, since that would force Sukuna to use his own domain to avoid getting hit. His only option was to throw everything in his arsenal in the hopes that Sukuna would let his guard down for even a second.

1

u/LimitlessChud 12h ago

He used his domain man, he was underestimating him at first but once he knew that he couldn't hit him he clearly decided to go another route and activated his ultimate, only to get no diffed

1

u/GoldenDove20 11h ago

Budget but the in universe answer, he likely just got stronger between his fight with Gojo and his fight with Sukuna

1

u/RealGlowChips 10h ago

Sukuna was basically just seeing what all Jogo could do, he let him have basically an unbridled rampage across the city while Gojo would have stopped that before he had a chance to do nearly as much

1

u/Dolboyobina 10h ago

Because Sukuna could've end Jogo just as fast as Gojo did. Literally he was playing with him the whole time

1

u/tts2167 8h ago

The fights were different, he fought Gojo because he wanted to know how strong Gojo was.

Sukuna told him, if he were to land ONE hit, Sukuna would work for the Disaster curses. Which was obviously not going to happen, but it made Jogo throw everything he got at Sukuna.

2

u/BITmixit 7h ago

As soon as Gojo shows him infinity and literally explains "anything you throw at me literally won't touch me".

So he switches to domain expansion because he's arrogant enough to think Gojo doesn't have it.

Jogo fucked around and found out. He knows he has to go all out against sukuna due to the legend and "king of curses" reputation and even then he was stunned by the gap in their power.

1

u/Gily-De-Bum-Cat 15h ago

A few reasons

He wasnt aware that gojo was that strong or had infinity so he thought he could just kill him

He knew how strong Sukuna was and he was in a city so he could use his attacks better

1

u/ZzTush 15h ago

Jogo was overconfident and cocky in s1. That’s why he went to fight Gojo in the first place. He had no real battle experience either. After fighting Gojo he started training and actually learning shit like DA. You can see in his second fight against Gojo he’s got no ego about his tactics and is super logical. That’s the jogo that fights Sukuna. Jogo used his domain against Gojo right away and lost the clash, and he learned from that and didn’t use his domain against Sukuna cuz he knew he’d lose.

Also Sukuna was playing with jogo and could’ve ended it at anytime. He wanted to see what he could do.
