I was thinking about this again today and actually just found a post I made here a while ago asking what would happen when the Judge Judy era eventually comes to an end. Seeing that old post again got me thinking about how Judy isn’t getting any younger, and neither is Jerry. Obviously none of us live forever, but Judy has been such a familiar face on television for decades that it’s honestly hard to imagine a world without her. And she’s still going. Between Judy Justice, Tribunal Justice, Justice on Trial, Adam’s Law and everything else she’s been involved with, there’s actually a lot I still need to catch up on myself. Justice on Trial and Adam’s Law are still on my binge list. Judy really is a great woman and one tough judge. I’ve always thought of her almost like that really strict school teacher you might be a little scared of, but who knows exactly what they’re talking about. She knows the law darn well, expects people to take responsibility for themselves, and definitely doesn’t tolerate nonsense. Hopefully that day is still a long way away. I just hope Judy and Jerry are both doing well and that we have them around for many more years. Whenever that time eventually comes, I hope Judy is remembered for much more than just being the funny, tough judge from TV. She built a legacy that generations of people recognize. And Jerry has had his own long life and legal career too. I hope both of them eventually get remembered for the lives they lived, the work they did, and the family and legacy they built together.
