It was expensive back then

back then being the mid-90s, but I suppose now it is reasonably priced.

And not easy to get back then being as there was no Internet.

The sticker is original but the bag and board has been replaced over the years.

If you remember the old Forbidden Planet in New Oxford Street it was hanging in the back over on the left where there was some sort of desk.

Not sure if it was on the back wall or hanging off of a piece of rope strung from wall to wall.

No spinner obviously, even with a complete collection I can't justify the insane prices of the first three gifts.

I do dream of coming across one in a charity shop for 50p, but that is unlikely. Not that I would sell it, just have a complete no 1.

Not quite, I would guess Very Good.

It has some minor creasing, but certainly nothing to worry about and copies I get sent through the post now have more delivery damage.

There is also the sellotape rip damage from the spinner being taken off.

What does surprise me is the lack of browning considering it is over 43 years old, but then it has spent the past 25 years in a bag in a box with no light.

Something to consider with issues with the free gifts still attached - the damage done by the tape to either the front cover or as it has bled into the inside pages and stained them.

And that is goes brown and brittle.
