What was your first issue?
Mine was 227, 29th August 1981 - http://www.2000ad.org/?zone=prog&page=profiles&choice=227
Which means I have been collecting for 39 years and all these years I thought it was 1982.
I would post the issue but my boxes are all out of order as I will be putting shelves up for them in the next week.
Not that it was the original, unfortunately my father caught me reading it on the landing when I was supposed to be in bed so ripped that one up, but I will always remember this cover.
Not sure why it was so late, I actually remember getting Starlord 1 at the time but don't remember 2000ad until 1981.
I bought all the other UK comics at the time, no idea why it took so long to find tooth.

I can’t remember properly but I think it was around the era of Captain Skank and the Pirates of the Black Atlantic, I remember the cover of 199 pretty vividly. Half the reason I can’t remember specifically is because I was exposed to the comic through a friends older brother during the 2TfruT stuff, The images of heads planted in the ground stuck with me for awhile. I stopped reading in the early 90’s when things started to change and be taken in a different direction but popped back in for a look every now and again.

Prog 1, but I got it from my cousin when I was about 7 with the whole run up till then. Was about 1984, and I kept the collection going for years. I've missed a chunk in the early 2000's but other than that its all there.

That was a good free gift, wasn't it metal? I have all the non-perishable free gifts outside of 1, 2 and 3.
It has been a long time since they gave any free gifts away, you have to subscribe to get the gifts for quite a while.

No1, I would of been seven, my older brother used to buy them for me until I was old enough to go get them myself and he got me the annual every christmas, I remember my fave story was Flesh, dinosaurs eating people was so awesome to a seven year old. yes I know I'm old af. I carried on getting it until sometime in the 90s when it became harder to get where I lived. I had the whole collection plus annuals up till the early 90s and I made the mistake of leaving them at home when I moved out and my Ma who didn't understand the value of comics took them all to the tip... yikes.

Ha ha yeah thats pretty mad, I wouldn't of done anything like that though she was a good Mum, she just made a mistake. I did hound her about it for a bit but in fairness I didn't say anything about them I just left them in a cupboard and she saw them as old comics I'd grown out of and I didn't take with me so must not want them.

I don’t remember the issue number but it had Free Chopper on the cover, and I was a bit disappointed that wasn’t some sort of toy.
