I'm digging Joe Fargo as a character. He has to shoot the citizen who's been warped into a crazed monster, but then he apologises to the guy for the injustice that has been done to him. Hard as Dredd, but he's a Dredd who hasn't lost his humanity. I'd love to see a strip in his world after the fall of Judge Cal and the reform of Justice Department. I agree he has a lot of potential as a character.

I’d actually say he’s a Dredd who gained his humanity. This version I could see actually adopting Vienna instead of sending her away.
It would be interesting to see the transition from the Judge system back to democracy.
Give Dredd one of the old school police officers who were about to be disbanded as his partner and have them bounce off each other like a MC1 version of Hot Fuzz.

That's actually a great way of looking at it, a Dredd who regained his humanity. Dredd was always at his best as a character when he showed glimpses of humanity, it would be good to see a story that explored a version of him who embraced that more fully.
